This is a piece of crap. I don't know how anyone could put this together with the hardware they provide. I feel like the positive reviews are fake. They have a design flaw and when I bring it to their attention they just sent me the exact same hardware, nothing different. Screw A does not go through the side to attach to the bottom/seat part of the bench. I sent a video to the manufacturer showing them the problem. They don't care, they could see the issue and refuse to send the correct hardware. I will be returning.

Definitely not worth the assembly time and effort

This was a nightmare to put together! The long screws did not fit into the holes. The directions say you will need a Phillips screwdriver, but I also needed a drill to open up the holes so that the bolts would go down to the threads. The directions and diagrams were unclear. I'm sure there was an error on how many dowels to use: one side said 6, and the other said 8. There is a random hole in the back/top of my bench... Not a pricey piece, but if I were to add my labor to the price- ridiculous!

This bench is very nice. Arrived a day early and in very good condition. The "X" piece was a little difficult, however, after installing one side of bolts loosely, the other side matched up great. This bench is very well built. We recommend this item.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband bought this as a xmas gift for me this year and was trying to build it today for me and everything was going fine with the build until he got to the part where you put the back piece ( the X looking area) on and the screw holes did not line up it wasn't even a little it was off by margins. We built the whole thing only to get to the last part and for it not to work out was very frustrating. This got returned. Very cheap and horrible workmanship. Do not Recommend

This is the perfect bench for the area I wanted it to be placed and looks great! However, the instructions were just a little elusive so it took a bit to get it put together. Just wish the instructions had some more details. This is a soft wood so be very careful so as not to scratch it or bang it up, but honestly, it was a great decision for us.

It arrived on the day it was supposed to, and looks exactly as it was pictured. It is a casual design for an entryway. I burnished mine in a slight bronze to give it an accent. The storage space inside the bench is plentiful and the seating is comfortable. Hubby says it was a bit awkward to put together. He says it's more of a two person job.

My daughter wanted a nice wood bench to put by her window. This was a beautiful looking bench that was extremely easy for me to put together myself. She loves it and I was happy to get such a nice piece at such a low cost. Anyone who says it was hard to put together is crazy! I did it in 20 minutes alone (and I am a woman!)

The design is terrible, the predrilled holes appear to line up but once you get to installing the back of the bench per the instructions the design flaws are very apparent. The dowel holes are impossible to secure. Even attempted to bypass the dowels and just secure with screwed which appear to line up but even that doesn't work. Trying everything to make it work when I added and secured the right side (ignoring the back portion for the moment) the whole structure was skewed. Definite design defect. Will be returning and finding something else.

Overall I'm pretty happy with this bench. It was a nightmare to put together. The instructions were simple, but the predrilled holes didn't line up and it took a lot of effort to jam the pieces together to fit. I actually gave up on screwing the spring into the seat and left it as is (I think I may have received the wrong type of spring because it didn't look like the one in the photo at all). I'm only giving four stars for quality because there were some small scratches on the front of the bench that were noticeable. Nothing some dabs of black permanent marker wouldn't cover from a distance. The design is pretty and it's functional for storage.
