I had my eye on this glittery nail polish and finally got it and was really disappointed. It seemed either not enough glitter or too much when applying. Even worse- it chipped in less than 2 hours. I have only bought Essie nail polish a couple times & doubt I will again.

This polish is so pretty. I always get complimented and asked about my nails whenever I wear it! Seriously someone ALWAYS stops me! I have this gold version as well as the silver and I love them both. I notice a lot of people having trouble removing it though. Buy a pure acetone remover and it will take off the glitters a lot easier than regular polish remover.

I don’t know what this glitter is made of but dang was it a pain to remove! The color underneath came off first, and then I had to scrape at the rest.. even with using the Cutex Ultra Powerful remover and soaking. It was beautiful tho!

Hi Emi! We’re sorry to hear you encountered difficulty removing the luxeffects nail enamel, ‘summit of style’. Glitter nail colors can take a little extra work to remove. Soak your cotton pad in polish remover, then allow it to sit on the nail for 30 seconds before removing. For glitter bits that don’t come off easily with your soaked pad, gently push the glitter away from the nail with a metal pusher or orangewood stick, similar to how you would push back cuticles.

I purchased two bottles last year, so glad I did as I think it has now been discontinued :(((( It is still possible to buy online with some retailers if you search hard enough. Fab on its own or as a topper. I have purchased six other glitter polishes in the Essie range all stunning! I’m massively addicted. I don’t find it difficult to remove as long as you use a good nail polish remover.

Hi there EJVB! Thank you for sharing your experience with the special effects nail color “set in stones”. We are glad you love the disco mirror ball bling this nail color creates. We’re just sorry to hear removal is challenging. To remove stubborn glitter polish, soak your cotton pad in polish remover, then allow it to sit on the nail for 30 seconds before removing. This gives the remover a chance to soften the enamel and seep below the glitter bits to soften the enamel underneath. Then just gently swipe to remove. You should never need to struggle to get the glitter off. Repeat if necessary to get the last of your special effect glitter off the nails.
