I was disappointed by the formula of this polish. I got the gold glitter and, while the sparkle is fabulous, the polish takes forever and a day to dry. It's super gloopy and does not set well at all. Be prepared to give over an hour and a half before you can do anything with your hands lest you smear off glitter everywhere. And, of course like most glitter polish, it's a pain to remove. Fir this price, I expected way better.

Even with a base coat, 2 coats of color and a top coat your mani should not take longer than 15 minutes to dry. It was very nice to apply, it was easy to get a good amount of glitter nicely without too little or too much. Only complaint is that the polish itself could be a bit thicker to lay flatter, areas where there is glitter can bump up a bit. You would need another clear coat on top if you wanted it perfectly flat.

The perfect bit of sparkle to add over a solid color polish. Stunning! It is a bit difficult to get off, so you'll need some extra cotton pads and remover for sure.

I purchased two bottles last year, so glad I did as I think it has now been discontinued :(((( It is still possible to buy online with some retailers if you search hard enough. Fab on its own or as a topper. I have purchased six other glitter polishes in the Essie range all stunning! I’m massively addicted. I don’t find it difficult to remove as long as you use a good nail polish remover.

Hi there EJVB! Thank you for sharing your experience with the special effects nail color “set in stones”. We are glad you love the disco mirror ball bling this nail color creates. We’re just sorry to hear removal is challenging. To remove stubborn glitter polish, soak your cotton pad in polish remover, then allow it to sit on the nail for 30 seconds before removing. This gives the remover a chance to soften the enamel and seep below the glitter bits to soften the enamel underneath. Then just gently swipe to remove. You should never need to struggle to get the glitter off. Repeat if necessary to get the last of your special effect glitter off the nails.

I get tons of compliments whenever I wear it. What I love most is that even when it chips you can't tell due to the nature of the polish. I love to layer so that the entire nail is nothing but gold. To get this effect, I don't paint with it, I just pile it on with a tiny dot-like motion.

Super glittery very easy to apply but it chips off so bad. The longest I’ve gotten it to stay is two days. Not recommended if you use yours hands for work (I only type) but it doesn’t last even with an essie top coat. But it is such a gorgeous color.
