Eufy Solo Spotlight WiFi Outdoor Security Camera

As soon as we received the camera in the mail my husband installed it right away, we downloaded the app and set everything up which was surprisingly fast and easy. I can see clear as day on my phone, I get the notifications fast when someone or cars pass by and the security light worked good and was bright. Definitely a must have for your home protection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though this is a heavy camera, I used a no-drill adhesive mount to spare drilling holes. So far it's holding up well. It took 3 minutes to connect to my HomeBase 2. The alarm is fairly loud. I heard it going off outside while I was in the living room. Notifications pop up immediately and sensitivity is good on the maximum level. If you view live footage longer than 1 minute, it tends to buffer and you'll have to exit to reload. For my yard, the camera angle isn't wide enough. It had to be set on a corner for a better view of the back door and yard. The spotlight doesn't cover the entire backyard, but it illuminates the area around the camera, making it much easier to see a person approaching in color. It's slow to charge and took nearly 8 hours to get full. The battery will drain faster if you're streaming a lot or if there's too many alerts. I recommend it for the spotlight, but in low traffic areas only.

I love that it can record as well, it has instant notification, multiuser access, activity zone reduce falls notifications, and advanced human detection, and two way audio. It’s waterproof and you can adjust the brightness it also has color night vision and a big plus is the wire free feature.all in all I don’t think you will be disappointed . The pictures and the recordings are so clear

Directions were easy to under and installation was a breeze and app performance is equally easy. Being able to view real time when I’m not home has given me so much peace. Also with the advanced Al Human Detection I am notified when someone is spotted and Eufy automatically records. There’s a lot of activity around my home but I was able to customize the area so I only get important alerts. The video is crystal clear and 2K clarity even at night! The motion activated ultra bright spotlight is just as it states, ultra bright, but can be adjusted from gentle to warning illumination. Multi user access and two way audio are just a few of the other bonuses this comes with! I couldn’t be more pleased with this product and highly recommend it!

The directions made it seem simple enough and to be honest it was fairly simple. This camera is wireless and just connects to WiFi. You use an app to get notifications. The app is easy to navigate. It’s also a free service unlike many brands. The picture quality is great even at night. The spotlight is bright but can be turned to less bright if desired. I will definitely be purchasing one for the back of my home.

I do feel like we have an added sense of security with the spotlight, it's an extra step of protection for my family and I because it acts as a deterrent. Battery life seems to be decent as well! Great product.

I'd give it a 4 but there is a great deal of lag between the camera and notifications that I don't think can be blamed on our internet connection. Also the app is constantly showing me ads or messages about errors that I have not experienced and when I opt for not to be notified again, it still continues to do so. Otherwise the app is pretty organized and the camera is the best security camera I have owned. The camera is really great at showing only people and gets their faces about 90 % of the time. The clarity of the photos i would give a 9/10! If the lag can be fixed with updates I can see it being a 4 or 5 star product!

I have it mounted right above our back door and I can see anything or anyone that traverses across the backyard. Anyone that would try to tamped with this would be caught on camera before reaching it! Can't wait to get some more of these!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Solo Spotlight Camera about a week ago, and have been continually testing the capability of what this camera has to offer. So far, I am impressed, but there are a few hitches that I ran into while using this product. To use this camera, you must download the Eufy Security app, which has some nice features built inside, but the general experience that I had on my Android phone was a bit buggy. For example, not being able to access the camera quickly, and having the two way audio system not working properly even with my mic enabled in the app, made for a lukewarm experience. The camera's quality itself is very well built, and genuinely seems like it's meant to last in harsh weather. Applying it to the wall was dead-easy, and setting up the actual camera itself wasn't difficult at all. The device has an IP67 water resistance rating for anyone interested. In all, the camera itself, again, is a great device, but the only thing holding it back is the Eufy Security app, which has it's own quirks. If you're looking for a budget option in cameras, definitely have this one in your list to consider!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this security camera! I mounted it where it can oversee my chicken coops, so I can check for predators at any time. Honestly, it's been great. There are two night vision modes, black and white or color. There's a floodlight that you can turn on at the touch of a button. And, my favorite, you can talk out of the camera! I tested it while out at the store, and laughed as my chickens all came running up to it confused! The picture quality is better than I expected. Sometimes it lags when I watch the live feed on my phone, but I'd blame that on my wifi, not the camera. When a person enters the camera's vision field, it sends a notification to your phone. It hasn't alerted me to any animals. Set up and mounting of the camera was easy and simple, and I haven't had to recharge the battery yet. Overall, this is a great security camera and I'm very happy with it!

I was looking at Ring doorbells, but I didn’t want to have to hire someone to do the wiring. Since you just screw this in and recharge it, it is the perfect product for me. The camera is great and I can see who comes to the door and the spotlight adds extra security at night. I highly recommend this to anyone. It’s so easy to use and install yourself!

It gives you live view and recording history. It gives instant notifications and you can access it from multiple devices. The smart tech differentiates humans from objects to reduce false alerts. It is ip67 weatherproof. You can also adjust the brightness.it’s a must have for your safety and security.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initial setup: I let the camera charge right out of the box. While it was charging, I went ahead and downloaded the app and got it all setup. It was an easy process with step by step guidance. I also invited my husband to the family. He recieved an email and was able to get the app and login with no issues. Installation: When the camera was charged (7 or 8 hours later), we used a phone to show the display and decided on the most effective place for mounting the camera. Mounting was very easy with just 3 screws and it feels very sturdy. Spotlight: The spotlight is actually adjustable in the app and you can change the color from a warm white to a cool white. The brightness can also be adjusted and is automatically set at 80%. The sensitivity level can be adjusted as well. The spotlight can be turned on when triggered by motion and manually. I love how so many features are customizable in the app. The battery can be monitored in app as well. Camera and speaker: The picture is so clear in day and night mode. You can record video and sound a moderately loud alarm if needed. The sound that it picks up is extremely clear. There is a function that allows you to speak through the camera. My only complaint is that I would like the speaker on the camera to be louder. I adjusted the volume to the loudest setting. While the sound is clear both ways it is still not as loud as I would like it coming from the camera. Not a deal breaker at all, just preference. Overall: I am so pleased with the quality and performance. I will likely end up purchasing the solar panel in the future as well as an additional camera for the back yard. I highly recommend.

I was also very pleased with how bright the light was in the dark. I feel much more secure with the camera monitoring my yard and alerting me to other presence.
