A: If the brightness is a problem at night for you like it was for us (even with the three brightness levels), don't be afraid to take a razor blade and pry up the front corners (using credit cards to keep it apart) and pull the front piece off. It is simply double sided tape holding it on. Then cut one or two strips of paper (~50mm x ~155mm) and place them in front of the digits. Enjoy!

A: To set an alarm, you hold down the alarm clock button, wait for the number to flast, use the + and - buttons to set your correct time, and then hit the alarm clock button again when you're done. There should be a small like next to an alarm clock image in the bottom left corner signifying the alarm has been turned on.

I bought 2 of these alarm clocks for back to school for 2 kids. Both of them are slow by about 4 minutes. It's unbelievable. I reset it multiple times and they both continue to fall behind the time by 4 minutes. It's a nice clock unless you want it to tell the right time.

The hr & min buttons are a bit awkward, I feel like they should be flipped, but that’s just my opinion. The bigger issue is that the back up battery never worked. I unfortunately didn’t find out until my power went out. It didn’t matter how many new batteries I tried, it wasn’t coming back. I only ended up with this one after another of the same brand had a non-functional snooze button right out of the box- I’d avoid this brand altogether now.

The backup batteries save the time and alarm settings so when the power is restored the time and alarm don't need to be reset and the alarm will sound when the power is back on. Works Great! The dual alarm capability is great for setting multiple alarms or for different days. The alarm sound is simple and loud enough to wake you up. The snooze has multiple options, which is nice for the flexibility in how long you want/are able to snooze. Love the look and the large numbers and customizable brightness for the lighting in different rooms.

Looks nice yet different from most digital alarm clocks. Runs well. Extra large letters making it easy to read without glasses, although the letters are much bigger than I expected. Some may not like the extra large letters. I also like that you can adjust the light of the letters for brightness.

I bought one of these almost 10 years ago now and still love it, so when I needed a second alarm clock I was happy to buy the same type. Unfortunately, the quality has gone way down since the first one I bought. It still looks nice and works alright, but it does not keep time well and the way to change the time or alarms is poorly designed. The old clock keeps time very well, even after all these years, but the new one falls behind by several minutes a month. I have to keep fixing the time to keep it close to accurate. At some point they redesigned the buttons on the clock for reasons beyond my comprehension. The buttons that now say "MIN" and "HR" used to be "+" and "-" and you would just click through the clock or alarm button to which you wanted. Now you can only change the time one way, so if you want to change your alarm from, say, 8:05 AM to 7:55 AM you have to click the hour button 23 times to go through the whole day and then the minute button 50 times to circle through the whole hour. (You can hold it down to rapidly cycle, of course, but it is still much more finicky than a two-way adjustment.) I agree with other reviewers that it is impossible to see the time on a sunny day, but I would rather have a dimmer clock at nighttime and just have to look elsewhere during the day sometimes, so that doesn't bother me. Overall, I really love the look of this clock and it still works for me (I don't mind the loud alarm since I am a heavy sleeper), but I wish they would fix these issues. I am very happy with my old clock and I am going to hold on to it for as long as I can!

The clock arrived… and I was looking forward to it because it’s hard to find attractive alarm clocks. I plugged it in.. the lights flashed once…. And then nothing. Switched outlets, tried batteries… nothing would make the clock work… read the instructions and it just felt like hollow plastic and nothing was working. Would never recommend … waste of money and I will 100% be returning tomorrow.

This clock is loud and makes me want to smash it with a hammer. It wakes my whole family up and my dog. The alarm siunds like BA BA ABA BA BA BA, and i don't enjoy waking up to something like that. Also when it's a bright sunny day, you can barkey see the clock which is useless, but i don't really care because I unplug my clock once i hear that ding dang alarm go off. Also the time changes a lot like hello? do you want me to be late????? So i definitely don't recommend this for people who want to wake up in a good mood, with a calm alarm. Sometimes i wake up thinking the purge will start.

This has been a great clock for our kitchen and we get lots of compliments on it. My one issue with it is that the cord is black while the casing is white. It would be nice if they matched because the black stands out really clearly against it.

I had this on my nightstand and actually prefered that the display was not glaringly bright. The display is also large enough that I could read it easily across the bedroom. I did not expect the clock to run on the battery, as the box clearly states "Plug-In AC Power" and "Backup battery", which means if the power goes out temporarily you won't have to reset the time and alarms, and is pretty standard in my experience. Unfortunately, the clock has steadily been losing time over the 4 weeks that I've had and been using it. I haven't had any power outages, so I don't believe a faulty backup battery is the problem. I also checked that the power cable was fully inserted. When I finally gave up and unplugged it for good yesterday, it was a whole 53 minutes behind. Interestingly enough, I picked up the item in-store on a whim and later discovered that the unit had been opened and unpacked prior to my purchase. Now I know why it was previously returned! Just wish they hadn't put it back on the shelf and saved me the time of making a return trip.
