I recommend this with chicken and white rice! Cook white rice separate. Brown some cut up chicken breast, then add this sauce, and cook till chicken bites are 150°F, You can make it even more delicious by making sinangag, Filipino fried rice, on the side. Drizzle the sauce over it!

I am half Filipino so I love making this dish from scratch. I was so happy when I saw they were selling this. It is so easy to make and fast to cook in the instant pot. We use chicken breast and russet potatoes and it turned out perfectly. The flavors were evened out and tasted delicious. I highly recommend!

The first one I ordered apparently broke in transit, but Target emailed me before it even got here to say that they were going to replace it. This is a great option if you aren’t familiar with cooking Filipino adobo and want to give it a try (there’s an actual difference between Mexican adobo). Or, if you want a shortcut and super easy way to make a yummy entree. Plus, I’m always up for supporting a BIPOC brand. Made it with chicken and then pork, but I preferred the chicken. I minced some garlic, sautéed and then added chicken (I used skinless, boneless thighs) and browned it for about 15-minutes then added the sauce. Covered and continued cooking for maybe another 10 -15 mins? Uncovered and then just continued cooking to thicken the sauce. (We love extra sauce for over white rice). I’m stocking up so if I need me of the kiddos to cook for me, it’ll be as easy as a sandwich but more fulfilling. I’m ordering more to keep on hand :)

I grew up with filipino adobo so got super excited when I saw this at Target. Really tasty! Just instant potted it with chicken and served over rice. Will try using pork next time!
