Q: Can the green legs be taken off so that the tub could be used/rest in a single basin kitchen sink?

submitted by NL - 3 years ago
  • A: I never tried removing legs, but I use the tub in a single bowl sink. Just push it in until it's resting snugly in the sink.

submitted byL - 3 years ago
  • A: No, the legs cannot be removed.

Q: I can't get the seat out, any suggestions? Otherwise, tub seems great.

submitted by Brit V - 17 days ago
  • A: The best way to remove the seat is to pull the sides of the bath tub apart so the infant insert can pop out. See the manual here: https://service.mattel.com/instruction_sheets/BDY86-4B70-4LB_IS_101320.pdf

Mold grows under warning labels!

Anonymous - 1 month ago
After 3 months of use and cleaning after each use, I noticed mold growth under the warning labels on the product. The adhesive is so strong that it’s very difficult to clean off. With some research, I also noticed that Fisher Price has been aware of this issue for at least 2 years and still has not corrected it.

Like previously mentioned sling works, however grows moorish brown to be and constantly needs to be washed despite being rinsed and hung up. Second stage is hard to use child slips down. Seat you can put in cuts baby and you cannot access the drain plug. It’s poorly designed.

This is a great tub. It has the soft sling for newborns. When that's removed, baby can comfortably be placed in the larger part while still reclining. We didn't use the green seat (basically skipping that position). We used the tub until baby was able to get himself out. It was nice to put on the kitchen counter for the first few baths, then it was easy to use when placed in a regular bathtub. Highly recommend this tub.

Great for newborns, but as soon as they are out of the sling the drain plug is blocked and difficult to access with the assisted seat in it. Makes it difficult to get the baby rinsed completely.

When in stage 2 this bath cuts my baby’s toes. It cuts it enough where it will be for a long time. It’s incredibly sad and NEEDS a redesign.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) So this is not my first time buying one from you guys I have bought the ones like this 10 years ago I keep coming back to this style and to the people that are claiming mold under the label that's not mold that's is glue and paper residue so use Goo be gone on it and you'll be fine and for the sling I dry it with a hair dryer and I would wash it with laundry soap after each use you probably can put it In cold wash and dry in your washer and dryer in a net bag with not heat and it be wash and dry think smarter only thing I would recommend is that they make the stickers just out of plastic and not paper and plastic so it is easier to remove and people won't be claiming it's mold

Cut my sons toes

This tub was great for phase one (with the newborn net) but once he graduated to stage two and was kicking his legs, he cut both pinky toes. He used the bath two more times after that and cut his toes every time. I will not be using this product anymore and have ordered an alternative product. Fisher price needs to redesign the seat insert as I have seen multiple reviews on Amazon that mention the same thing happened to their child.

Sling/infant stage works really well. The tub plug is located under the seat making it hard to drain once the seat is installed. Also the seat fits snuggly so not easy to pop in and out to access the plug. Tub designed well for dual basin kitchen sinks however it can be difficult for shorter parents to lift baby into/out of tub when on top of sink. Overall tub serves its purpose but has some drawbacks.

Sling grew brown stuff after 3 months

Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend
New Mom - 1 year ago
My daughter is only 6 months. When she was around 3 months the sling had a brown growth near the white strap that connects to the tub clip. She doesn’t poop when I bathe her so it’s not that. Plus I’ve take the sling out and washed/soaked it multiple times. It will sometimes come out but always grow back. Theres a sticker on the inside of the tub that also caused us some issues. When I took the sticker off it left behind sticky glue and small pieces of paper that would get in my babys bath water and float around. The tub is nice but those problem alone caused us to stop using it.

This infant tub does not fit well in our sink so I tried it in the bath tub with our 2 week old. The sling is fine but to reach the drain plug underneath is awkward and then it was sitting flush with the actual tub and wouldn't drain until I lifted it up. The feet on the tub are just plastic so they slide all over as I'm trying to adjust the baby and drain the water. The tub made for an annoying experience which is already difficult with a newborn so I'd not recommend this item. I'd return it but I threw away the box.

Past the newborn sling stage the tub is the worst. Using the seat support for a 4 month old doesn’t work because he is constantly looking down so it’s difficult to wash his hair out. Using the seat support as a recline support is even worse because the water plug is under the seat so you have to lift the tub to let the water out and once you do his skin rubs on the tub causing it to be all red and the plug can’t be closed again. Using the tub without the seat support just causes him to slide down. This was our first week out of the newborn sling and we both did not enjoy bath time. I’m going to buy a new tub today.

I’m surprised to see so many bad reviews. I’ve had this tub for over 4 years and am using it for my second child. It’s very good when you take care of it and wash it after every use. I’ve never had a problem with it cutting my baby’s toes. You have to snap the green part in very well while using it for stage 2 and 3. My son is 5 months and over 22 lbs and he still uses it. It’s convenient and easy to clean.
