Engaging!

My children fell in love with this toy as soon as they found it. I didn’t give much instruction because I wanted to see what they did with it. They were able to figure out the basic coding program on their own, and after they had tried that out for a while, I introduced some of the other features to them. Overall, this has been a huge hit with both my son and daughter. As a technology teacher, I was very excited to see a toy that provides so much education to children in a fun manner. The only thing I would like to see added to the codebot would be the ability to add a loop to the program. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Kinderbot has been played with by my 5 year old twins, my 10 year old, 14 year old and 41 year old husband! Everyone had enjoyed it. As a mom I thought the directions were a little too wordy and confusing. My kids perferrred the trial and error method to figure it out. It has become a favorite toy in our home. Fun interactive robot!

My kiddo was initially super interested in the robot. He loved plugging the codes in and watching it go. He enjoyed the obstacle course option a lot - it was a challenge to program the robot to go around items. After a few days, he unfortunately lost interest. While he understands the robot's capabilities a great deal at his age, he is also a bit too old for it to be incredibly entertaining for him. The robot works as intended and the functions are very straightforward. I think that it's an ideal toy for 3-4 with 5 being its upper limit depending on the child. My 4 year old daughter loves the kinderbot, even my 6 year old loves it. They both love playing with the pre-programmed modes (specifically the shark code and motorcycle code). My 4 year old has a hard time grasping the concept of programming moves to make it go in a specific direction, but I'd imagine that would come with time. Regardless, she still likes to press the buttons to make the kinderbot move around. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My 4 year old loved playing with the Kinderbot. The additional parts were of particular interest to my little one. She enjoyed using the parts to create a way to carry her dolls. This allowed her to code a path for the kinderbot to deliver her toys from place to place. As a parent, I liked that it had a very easy interface and was very easy for my daughter to understand how to use it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This toy is amazing for my Kindergartner. We can sit with her to read the directions and she loves to follow them to get the robot to respond and do what she wants. She loves being able to watch it, and it helps us reinforce her colors and shapes. I can see this toy will be played with a lot in the coming years as she too learns to read. My kids absolutely loved this! They love following the instructions and changing up the code. I hope this will be a path for them to want to learn software or at least pique their interest. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
