Super cute and has a TON of sounds and cute learning things. Can’t get my 1yo to play with much of anything for an extended time but he plays with this the longest! My 4yo pretends to play it too.

My nephew plays with his daddy's game console and enjoys it so I've started buying him his own so he can build his own collection. He is thoroughly enjoying his new Fischer Price game toys.

Pretend Video Game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lil' pretend video game is sturdy, as are the majority of FP products that I have bought and owned over the years. I gave this to my 2 year old granddaughter to play with and she seemed to enjoy it. She really wanted to remove/reinsert the game cartridge like an actual video game. The cartridge cannot be removed and I think that's a good thing as I think it would quickly get lost. The screen does light up each time the cartridge is pushed in which is a nice feature. She slid the shapes on the left side of the unit a couple of times, quickly figured out there wasn't lights or music and then moved on. The D pad, the A & B buttons and the game cartridge are where all the lights and sound came from and she enjoyed those functions the most.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter has been using this toy and really enjoys playing with it. She was always trying to take her older siblings controllers and this helps keep her away. She likes all the sounds and the different buttons.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once my toddler got his hand on the lil’ gamer, he was excited to see what it was. It was easy to operate and with so many songs to listen and to dance to my toddler was having a joyful time. This lil’ gamer kept his attention for a long time and became a toy to go to for the beats and songs. Flashing lights are not too bright which was a plus Overall the lil’ gamer is simple an attention grabber.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cute toy for small children! It doesn't do a lot but it keeps the childs attention for a little while! Its great for pretend play, the kids think they are playing a game with you so it helps to keep them occupied! I love the little noises it makes, it makes the kids light up with a smile and laugh! Its an amazing toy for imagination play and helps to keep the kids stimulated for awhile!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size for this toy is perfect for little hands. My daughter really enjoys all the things she can play on it. The only thing I don’t like is that the volume cannot be turned down. Later at night I find it a little too loud.

Cute toy for gaming family

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very fun little toy that can be taken anywhere. Screen lights up when the buttons are pushed, sliding Tetris pieces on the side, cartridge on top can be pushed down, and the switch that can be flipped on the side. It would be better if the toy had a volume control switch on it so the sounds aren’t so loud. Kept my child’s attention while bigger kids played video games.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter enjoyed this toy, it sings and plays diffrent educational songs. It’s definitely a good toy to take mobile and use while we are out because it’s so small and perfect for little toddler hands. The only problem is it’s very loud with no volume control.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The detail that I liked about the product was that it reminded me of other handheld gaming systems that my older grandchildren play with so now their brother/cousin can sit by them with his own system.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My baby loves this toy it keeps his attention for quite awhile and I love it because it gives me an opportunity to get at least one or two things done. The different activities on it is amazing. The only thing I could say bad is the two things on the side should have done more than just solid up and down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cute child version of gaming device that teaches colors, numbers and ABCs. The screen is not interactive. This is a very basic toy for a younger toddler ideally ages 1-2. The device also plays a few different songs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy is the loudest toy you can get. It’s so obnoxiously loud that I hide it from the kids just to get a break. My son likes it just for the sounds but it’s just buttons that sets off the melody. Nothing much to it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a test product. The laugh learn video gamer is perfect for boys and girls. It reminded me of a gameboy. It lights up when you play, the cartridge moves up and down. There are several educational features by playing, the buttons are large enough and easy to press for young children. I highly recommend getting your kiddo one to play.

More suitable for small babies and not toddlers

4 out of 5 stars
Gigi Knows Fun - 7 months ago
originally posted on shop.mattel.com / fisher-price.mattel.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel the toy has so much potential but it lacked in a few areas, which would have helped make a bigger impression on my kids. One for example would have been if the pop up game would stay down and pop out when a button is pressed or even after several seconds. That would have got their attention and held it for a little while. Now i am not saying the toy isn't good because it had my kids fighting over who got to play with it first. It got their interest and they had fun finding out what every button did but they were uninterested fairly quickly. The reason why my review is really accurate is because i have 3 toddlers at home. Yes i said 3 toddlers, all under 2 years and younger. I have my 2 year old son and my 1 year old twin daughters so you get a review from a boy and girls who are 11 months apart in age just in case knowing the age would help you make your decision. I do however believe that a younger supported sitter baby would love this toy and it would maintain their interest a lot better. I did receive the toy free as part of the play rate review program in exchange for a honest unbiased review. My review is my honest opinion and the free product does not affect my true opinion on the it.
