Q: Would this be a good toy for a one year old? I know the recommendation age is 18 months but was curious if anyone else got this for a 1st Birthday or Christmas gift and how their child liked it.

I picked up this item in store. The service was excellent but I was very disappointed in the packaging. The item appeared to have been opened and re-taped. This is a Christmas gift for my grandchild so therefore I refuse to re-open the item only to have to further tape it closed again. FYI, packaging is the first impression someone sees. This box is dirty and full of clear tape. However it is a toy which my grandchild wishes to receive for Christmas.

Once I picked up the product I notice it was taped all over the box which I was ok it’s probably like this because it’s being taken to drive up. Once I opened the box I notice all the pieces were dirty. I tried calling target and no one answered. I just gave up and kept it, I wasn’t going to put it away and have my little one cry. I had to clean up every single piece. For what I paid for I should have received a new one. It seems cheaply made as well. Please check your items before giving them to your children. Seems like I received a used item.

I did not like how poorly fisher price package this. The toy was damage: scratches and some stickers on the toy already pre installed all sratched. There's loose wiring on the buttons.

We bought this for our grand daughter, she loves the toy , but if she stands on the inside and leans against the top the whole kitchen will tip over causing the 12 month old to fall with it, this toy definitely is a tip over hazard.

This is my second time purchasing this. My daughter, who is now 5, absolutely loved hers. She did however eventually chew and lose several of the food pieces, my dogs may have had something to do with that, who knows. My son is 18 months and will be getting this for Christmas. I can’t imagine he won’t love it, it’s adorable and very entertaining for a toddler. Stacking and balancing the food items to serve to you is a challenge at first but they get there and they’re so proud of themselves with each little meal they serve. Doesn’t take up too much room but it’s not tiny either. The only thing I don’t love is for my taller kids it is a bit short for them and doesn’t last as long for them because of it. Other than that it’s really the cutest girl, there’s a reason I’m buying it again!
