Beyond the commitment to superior nutrition, there’s also a commitment to a balanced and protected pH. Food For Life® recognizes that a “Balanced pH” is absolutely essential for optimum health.
Food For Life® meticulously chooses it’s ingredients, and refuses to use acidifying agents such as: Cultured Wheat Starch, Vinegar, Calcium Propionate and Ascorbic Acid – all preservatives
An amazing benefit of sprouting, grains actually become more alkaline as water and oxygen support the growth of the new plant and naturally balances the pH. Love the texture and flavor of this healthy bread. I use this bread mostly for making avocado toast. It's delicious. It does fall apart a bit when untoasted and used to make a sandwich but it doesn't bother me. Target's price is a bit high but fine if you're in a pinch.

I was a longtime , loyal customer. This bread used to have a coarse texture and darker appearance. Now it seems more refined (softer and paler) with less grains. It doesn't have that earthy, sprouted taste anymore. It also raises my sugar now and keeps it higher. The packaging changed slightly to say "flourless". Not sure what happened but extremely disappointed and won't be repurchasing.

This bread is so good, if you are a person doesn’t eat bread every day. Fresh bread always go bad so quick, this frozen bread it’s a good option for you. It’s taste better then a lot of fresh bread.
