I think the review above is for a different product. This book light does not have to be charged. It takes batteries. The batteries that came with it lasted less than two months, being used for about an hour, once a week. The batteries are flat watch batteries and cost almost as much as the lamp...see moreof the reviewer's review
Short circuited my computer

This light needs to be charged and comes with a usb plug in. I tried to charge it on my MacBook and it short circuited my battery. I had to take it in to the Apple store to be repaired. Not cool!!
