Fresh Step Clean Paws Ultra-Absorb - 22.5lbs

This is best cat litter, hands down!!! I wish I could find it in stores rather than having to purchase online. I have tried every other litter on the market and nothing beats this!! I will never use anything else.

Cat did not appreciate this litter and neither did I. The smell of the litter is really strong and helped overpower any bad smells, but it's clumps strangely and kept getting stuck to the cat's paws. Makes more of a mess than the extra light formula of fresh step.

This was the first litter I bought when I first got my cat and I love it. It definitely hides the smell to the point where we keep the litter box in the living room. It’s low on tracking so my cat never leaves a mess. It’s easy to clean up after. I don’t think I’ll ever stop using even though it’s expensive but it’s worth it.

Best litter I’ve found so far. Been buying it for years. But they need to chill with the price. I remember when it was $14! Imma still buy it tho.

We tried many kitty litters to find one with low tracking. This is the only one that our cat does not track all around the immediate area of his litter box.

This litter has great odor control, without overwhelming scent. There is definitely less litter on the floor than with the lightweight version or some other crystal litters, but there is still tracking. Clumping, however, falls short of my expectations. Instead of being nice and hard, they tend to be a bit softer, which results in difficulty both in getting the clumps out, but also for the cats to cover things up without making a mess. Luckily we have a stainless steel box or I could see how it would be very difficult to scoop. While this has some good qualities, I am disappointed that it did live up to the hype and am still searching for the ideal litter as this just simply is not it.

As a lifelong consumer of this brand, I decided to purchase this litter because I love the Fresh Step brand and had yet to try this particular version. It's seriously amazing. It's been a solid 2 weeks, actually over, and it STILL smells like I just replaced it! The "Clean Paws" aspect however, I can't speak too much about because for whatever reason my boy just loves to kick really HARD when he's digging or covering his business, throwing about 3 or 4 times more litter, than the average cat, from my experience, so there is constantly tons of litter around his box, and I'm not sure that will ever change, unfortunately. However, that I can handle, it's the nasty smells that frustrate me most, so since discovering Fresh Step Clean Paws Ultra Absorb with Febreeze, any and all embarrassing litterbox aromas are non-existent. Hands down, this is the best litter I've ever experienced in my twenty something years of owning cats. Not to mention, the absorbency is particularly amazing, as well. Not only does it clump immediately, but the clumps are tight and size proportionate, so as not to waste, or clump extra unnecessary litter, and the clumps don't break apart and get messy when trying to scoop. The only thing I can't seem to figure out is who loves it more, me or my cat! Haha.

We noticed our cat stopped peeing on our things after we switched to this. It’s a bit pricey because we have three cats but switching to something else could mean one of our cats will start to pee inappropriately again, so we are trying to stick to this. But it’s also hard to find sometimes.

I dont understand why this litter has amazing reviews. I had been using tidy cats with my previous cat. The one I recently adopted is more messy and leaves tracking everywhere. I bought this one on the promise about low tracking. Well, this is NOT low tracking at all!!! This is one is just like regular cat litter and the worse part is that it doesnt clump it actually turns into gum-like balls that stick to the litter box and makes it a nightmare to remove. Going back to tidy cats! Never again I will purchase this one.

I bought this litter based on other reviews and I definitely have not been disappointed! (So thank you all!!) As background - Our household was using another name brand litter for our 2 cats. One of the litter boxes in our home is in a small bathroom where the ammonia odor quickly built up and was potent enough to linger even once scooped and topped off with fresh litter - not to mention it tracking everywhere! But not this litter! It really does what it says it will. The smells from the box are absolutely contained for wellllllllll over a week and while not eliminated entirely (can any traditional style litter really do that though) the tracking of the litter has improved biggggg time! Now, full disclosure, I haven’t truly counted the number of days it stays “fresh” for, but I still can say for certain that in my experience, the scent is controlled for at least a full 7 days (and likely longer if I had actually counted!). It sounds dramatic but seriously, what used to be a smell that felt like it overpowered a whole part of the house now is gone to the point where I’ve forgotten about it for longer than was “usual” and slacked on my litter scooping duties a little bit. It also clumps way better than the other brand name we were using and the cats took to this no problem which is good considering I was concerned about them being sensitive to the grain and scent of this new litter. Personally, I don’t mind the fabreze scent either! We were previously using unscented with our other brand (which really didn’t seem unscented at all) and with this one, despite it supposed to have a fabreze scent, I don’t feel like the fabreze lingers beyond those first few moments after you pour the litter into the box. It pretty much works the same as if I spray regular fabreze for other scents in the house - it hangs around for a few minutes and then that there’s no air-freshener or litter box smell. All of these things have 100% converted me to this litter, and I’m so thankful I got it!

Controls odor really well

We have a terrible tracking problem with our newest cats (of 12 years!). Not sure why they track more but we're constantly looking for something less tracking. This is an improvement. Not 100% but better.

Love Clean Paws. Always smells fresh and cats don’t track as much. This was my first time with ultra absorb and it’s finer than the multicat. Working well.

Really controls odor, clumps well, and smells great. Makes a dirty job much more pleasant. My cats like it too!

Love this litter less on my stairs or the floor after my cat dies his business

My senior cat kept getting this stuck in her paws. It was an actual crime scene in my bathroom. It must have stuck to her paws and there was poop all over the walls. Absolutely, hands down, the worst litter I have ever tried! And I’ve had cats my entire life. Trust me, DO NOT BUY!!!

Clean smelling and love the box to pour!

Always buy this because it never disappoints! I have three cats and you never smell the litter.
