Description

Frigidaire's 25,000 BTU 230V window-mounted heavy-duty air conditioner is perfect for cooling a room up to 1,600 square feet. It quickly cools the room on hot days and quiet operation keeps you cool without keeping you awake. Low power start-up and operation conserves energy and saves you money. Ready-Select electronic controls allow you to set the comfort level to your preference, while a convenient temperature-readout displays the set temperature. Effortless temperature sensing remote control allows you to see, set and maintain room temperature from across the room. The multi-speed fan features three different speeds for cooling flexibility and the 8-way comfort control design allows you to easily control the direction of the cool air. Plus, the clean air ionizer removes pollen and impurities from the air providing relief for allergy sufferers. This unit requires a special 230V electrical outlet and will not operate with a standard 115V household electrical outlet.

I installed this unit less than a year ago, first time I tried to turn it on this summer it dosen't blow cold air. I bought the extended warranty and will be calling in a service call.

bad motor bearings

I bought this in July 2017 for a premium price but i thought i was buying a premium Air Conditioner that would last for years and at first it worked and cooled great but the next year it started getting louder than normal at times then would quite back to normal and i thought well maybe thats normal for such a big beast even through my wife had a different view but this year 2019 it started screeching very loud and i knew it had a problem so it being Saturday i had no choice but to replace it and being that it was now out of service and sitting on the floor i slid the unit out of the cabinet and sure enough the shaft on both sides of the motor has wobble.I do think this is a very good Air Conditioner but they seem to have got a hold of some motors with bearings that do not hold up.The book that came with it says i am covered under a 2 year limited warranty on any part that goes bad but the web site says 1 year limited warranty so i will be calling them Wednesday and see if they stand behind the product they sell.This premature bearing failure seems to be a common problem with this model and needs to be corrected across the board past present and future. Horrible warranty experience. Unit broke in under a year. Instead of replacing the unit it’s being repaired. The entire process will take approximately 3 weeks.. unacceptable wait time since my husband has asthma and we need the air. Will never purchase any products or brands from this manufacturer again.

I bought this last summer and got it in July when the one from Sears quit. I have 2 of the Frigidaire air conditioners. My other one is slightly smaller but both do a great job. Very quiet, and cool nicely. The remote is a great feature to with the tempture sensor in it to where you can set it somewhere in the room to take the temperature to the set temperature. bought in oct 2017. ran one season in 2018 . turned it on feb 2019 after using it for one season just a few months out of warranty and the motor bearings are so loud you cant here yourself talk will have to replace unit bad deal

Unfortunately I am very disappointed with this unit! I bought it to replace a 20,000 BTU unit that was great for 18 years, and it really does not cool the space even though it’s a 22,000 BTU. I really am dissatisfied and don’t know how to proceed! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
