I bought this for arm support during a wrist injury. it was much more comfortable than the hospital provided one however it fell apart at the distal connection at the top. The stitching came completely apart. Good thing it didn't happen the day before-- after my nerve block made my arm totally unsupported without a sling. I did throw it in the washer on gentle cycle a few days before though the directions say not to but I didn't happen to read the directions till it fell apart -- who reads directions anyway on products like this??? I think that you should make this product machine washable. I mean after all if you are wearing a sling you are minus one arm and incapable of "handwashing" a sling properly, let alone your hands! get real [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
