Q: Reviews are not good on this but it's so cute and the only option for a true Gabby's Dollhouse. If we tape the carboard backdrops straight away, will this prevent the issues folks are facing?

This was cute for about two seconds. The back of every room are cardboard squares that pop in and out. My kids tore them out constantly now they are bent and worn, most are missing the remaining look like garbage. No replacement options. What was wrong with just the rooms being stickers. So dumb. Barbie does this too. Stickers over cardboard!

This was surprisingly challenging to put together, and for the price point, in my opinion significantly less nice than some other toy houses we’ve bought at Target (Encanto, Bluey, Peppa Pig etc). It requires complete assembly, is cute when put together but does feel a little cheap/flimsy. Not sure it’s going to hold up well.

The price of this dollhouse should be more like $25 if that. It’s incredibly flimsy, cheap all around and falling apart. Definitely upsetting to a 4 year old when things don’t close,fit,falling apart it’s just a big piece of plastic that sits in the playroom because my daughter has a love /hate relationship with it. Someone thought it was cute to get young kids obsessed with this cat show and charge parents a ridiculous amount for anything with this girls face on it because they know well will fall for it and will do anything for child happiness.

I can’t believe I paid $60 for this… it is so flimsy!! The whole house twists and bends, the rooms keep falling off, the back is cardboard, the elevator jams. I was so excited to give this to my daughter for her birthday and now I’m feeling regret. I’m actually debating super gluing the thing together so it quits falling apart.

I don’t like that the back scene pieces are made out of cardboard. My three year old constantly pulls them out and then can’t put them back in. They are going to get worn out real quick. Other than that I like the dollhouse. But overpriced in my opinion.

Overall a good set which my kids enjoy playing with. Critique points 1.the elevator has no basket or reliable feature to hold figures in place so things easily fall off with the rough ride the ratcheting feature and hooking at spots of this elevator. Yes there is a pin on the elevador which some figures interface with but the retention is mostly not sufficient to hold them in place at "kid speed" elevator movements especially when the elevator keeps hooking. Needless to say my kids lost interest very quickly on this elevator "rattle eject", also it would have been nice to have a handle to move the elevator on the rear/top side. 2. Only three different short sound clips available (description states "8 sounds") 3. No useable spiral slide down from he Fairy Tail Garden like with the dollhouse in the show. I can only talk for my kids but for them anything with a slide will keep them busy for extended periods of time, spiral more so. This is completely missing and there is no slide add-on available (also not enough space between the house side and the tower for the Gabby figure to slide down). From what I can see there is a zip-line that the kids can connect from the separately sold Garden Treehouse Playset but a real and useable spiral slide would be more fun for my kids. Also this Garden Treehouse Playset seems to be just a side piece that does not directly integrate with this dollhouse other with just a "zipline" connected which is IMO a bummer. 4. Cardboard backdrop inserts especially the lower 2 right hand side are not held in place very well and these cardboard backdrops and rather plain looking backside are for me a reduced value for the money. My overall opinion, for kids which are really into the show it will likely provide an extended period of use and fun however there are some flaws and missed playability opportunities. With this and considering all the not included add-ons which are to be purchased separately for a more immersive play i will say it is has a limited value for the money.
