I want to love this mat. It's beautiful! But it is a bit slippery. Unfortunately, the plain back side is more grippy than the side with the print. Still, it is more slippery than a cheap hand-me-down mat I have. It is quite cushiony and comfortable though. The slipping can be remedied with a yoga ma...  see moreof Kristin's review

I was looking for a thicker yoga mat as mine had worn thin but I didn't want to spend $100. This mat is comfortable and cute but my hands slide during practice. It's not horrible but it can be distracting.  see moreof Jes's review

Overall, I'm very happy with this mat. It's really attractive and nicely cushiony while still allowing solid contact with the floor. The only issue that I had is that it was quite slippery for my hands and feet at first. The mat wasn't sliding around on the floor, I just wasn't getting enough grip o...  see moreof Kellyes's review

It's even prettier in person. I was expecting the grey to be a bit darker from the picture online, however, it's lovely all the same. This one is 5mm (opposed to most of the others from Gaiam, which are only 3mm) so it still feels comfortable on top of my wood floor. There is a bit of a funky smell ...  see moreof RachelMarie's review

I have read most of these reviews, and the response they keep giving to the constant complaint of the mat's ridiculous slippery-ness, is that it is more slippery in begining, but that the grip will improve with time and cleanings..i don't usually write reviews, but i just had to after seeing that re...  see moreof Tiff's review

I was so excited to use this product. After 5 years of using the same yoga mat, it was time to buy a new one. This mat was so slippery I fell in almost all non seated positions during my practice. Now my brother uses throws a towel on it and takes it to hot yoga  see moreof sim's review

The grip on this mat is horrible. I could barely stay in downward dog without slipping. I have used cheaper mats with better grip.  see moreof Kelly's review
