I used these 5 times to carry light clothing, a yoga mat and a water bottle. It's ripped at the seams.

Almost Perfect

I love this bag. I can fill it up with whatever I need for yoga class or use it for a carry-on, and it never feels too heavy. The straps are long enough to fit over my shoulder if I choose to carry it that way, even without the extra shoulder strap. There are plenty of pockets, inside and out, to separate items. When not carrying a mat, the mat loops fit nicely into a pocket so they're not in the way. There's one zipper on the outside, covered by a flap, and if I'm not careful the zipper catches the flap. But after one use I figured that out. Also after the first use, I found that it's easier to load a mat into the straps if you start from the middle - put one end of the mat into one loop, push it a little farther than it has to go, then put the other end in its loop, and finally even out the mat. At first I considered cutting the mat straps and sewing some velcro on them, but I'm not a huge velcro fan because it has a tendency to catch on things when you don't want it to. And I hate the velcro noise! With all the other paraphernalia I need to carry to class, it didn't make sense to me to have straps to carry a mat, and still need another bag for everything else. But I didn't want to spend too much money on a bag. This one fits the bill nicely! I do wish it was available in assorted colors, but black will do.

It would be perfect if it were a LIGHT color inside!

This bag is wonderful! The fabric is oddly luxurious for a water-resistant synthetic. The pockets are well planned -- good size and placement. But since I imagine a lot of us wear black workout clothes, black swimsuits, etc., I think all gym bags should have light colored interiors.

It's large enough to fit all of your gym gear , whether that's yoga, boxing, or weight lifting. There are other large gym bags out there but this one can carry enough without ever looking too bulky.

I really did like the bag, however, my extra thick yoga mat does not slide into the mat sling. I would have loved this bag if that had been adjustable. I had to return it.

Pictures do not show how soft and unstructured the bag is

3 out of 5 stars

Docked points off the review mainly for how different the empty bag is from the pictures. The pictures depict a bag that is most likely filled with items; to me, the pictures and description didn't make it clear that the bag would be completely soft and shapeless when empty (imagine a puddle on the floor). I ordered this bag because of all of the pockets and features, which are great, but I had hoped for something with enough structure that it holds enough shape when it's half full (so my water bottle on the side doesn't drag on the floor for example). I don't have enough things to fill up the bag completely on a regular basis, and I'm not sure I want to add additional items (and weight!) just to make the bag hold things properly. This is a good bag but I want to share this issue I've run into in case it helps.

I was looking for a large bag that could carry my gym and yoga gear as well as accommodate my work cloths when I hit the gym after work. This has lots of space for all my essentials and the extras I want. It also feels very sturdy and well made.
