I love this bag. I can fill it up with whatever I need for yoga class or use it for a carry-on, and it never feels too heavy. The straps are long enough to fit over my shoulder if I choose to carry it that way, even without the extra shoulder strap. There are plenty of pockets, inside and out, to separate items. When not carrying a mat, the mat loops fit nicely into a pocket so they're not in the way. There's one zipper on the outside, covered by a flap, and if I'm not careful the zipper catches the flap. But after one use I figured that out. Also after the first use, I found that it's easier to load a mat into the straps if you start from the middle - put one end of the mat into one loop, push it a little farther than it has to go, then put the other end in its loop, and finally even out the mat. At first I considered cutting the mat straps and sewing some velcro on them, but I'm not a huge velcro fan because it has a tendency to catch on things when you don't want it to. And I hate the velcro noise! With all the other paraphernalia I need to carry to class, it didn't make sense to me to have straps to carry a mat, and still need another bag for everything else. But I didn't want to spend too much money on a bag. This one fits the bill nicely! I do wish it was available in assorted colors, but black will do.
