Was so excited to get these and I love the way they look. I wanted chargers to protect our antique table from hot plates. If you are planning to use these every day, as we do, be aware that they stain very easily and are almost impossible to clean without ruining the finish. If any food gets on these they no longer look good enough to use. If you are not planning to actually use them they are fine.

I purchased these to use for special occasion dinners but felt I wasn't getting enough use to justify the cost. I now use them as holders for disposable plates when dining outside and they are perfect. I hand selected mine so I didn't have the experience some reviewers had with defects. Well made and solid but not all plates will look good with it.

I really did not care for this tray. I feel like it looked really cheap. The gold looked smeared on. And the tray itself was uneven. Nothing would sit flat on it. I love hearth and hand but I feel the quality is hit or miss most of the time.

The chargers are excellent in quality and indestructible for day to day casual use. They are a terrific buy, and the gold welding is a nice touch that adds a little something. I use them all year round, and they look great with my Easter table right now, but they work with all holidays well. I have them on my table every day and bought them about a year ago. If you collect other pieces from the Hearth and Hand collection, this coordinates very well with the design.
