The show itself deserves five stars, but the packaging for this season leaves something to be desired.

Game of Thrones is without a doubt the best show on all of television, and this season enforces it. However, one of my favorite things about game of thrones was the high quality, beautiful box sets each season came in. But for some reason, they decided to change it with season six. The slip cover on season six is flimsy and because of the way it is designed, is very weak. the set as a whole is a lot thinner than the other seasons, which i could understand them doing if it was season seven which is reported to have less episodes than the previous six. But it isn't, this season has the same amount of episodes as all that came before it, yet they decided to go cheapo on the packaging. With how much money they spend per episode you'd expect them to keep their box set quality consistant. Inside, there is nowhere to put any of the inserted papers, they are just placed in there. And while the previous seasons come with cool things like maps, character charts, and at the very least a foldabld episode guide, season six just has the episodes printed on the inner packaging. And my final problem, the dvds are stacked. All the other seasons have this cool fold out dvd case that gives each dvd its own "page", but they stack them here, resulting in a thinner box set.
If you've been collecting the GoT seasons the first thing you'll notice is that this season's box is a bit smaller than the others. At first I thought I had ordered the wrong thing but once I opened it I saw that it still held the whole season (5 discs) but the way the box is designed they overlap each other so that 2 discs will fit on a leaf instead of one. It's nice that it takes up less space, I wish they had figured this out in the beginning.
Jon Snow was murdered by the brothers of the nights watch at the end of season 5. You gotta get season 6 to find out this exciting episode. Such a well written and well played movie. I absolutely love it. I was biting my nails through each disc, the thrill is too much.
