Beautiful and dramatic as my roses climbed and spilled at the top. However, perhaps because it is top heavy, it was difficult to anchor to keep it straight. On third year the metal connections snapped. Tried taping them together, additional staking, etc., but alas had to take it down. Will try using just the top!

I purchased one of these several years ago since the location for my clematis needed free-standing support. The only way I would recommend one of these is if you cut your clematis to the ground each winter and store this support inside. It has not held up well in the wind and one of the joints is so badly bent now that I must stake it with less that satisfactory results. I would love to see this with larger diameter legs or fewer joints to make it more sturdy.

Poor flimsy design. Worked just 1 year. Weight of clematis and wind brought it down in year 2. Never OK since, in spite of adding metal fence post inside to stabilize plus wrapping duct tape around joints. Still leans and separates at the joints.

I spent an hour and a half trying to connect this trellis so that it would stand straight. It is welded incorrectly. It is also not sturdy and terribly top-heavy. I really do not know if it will stand up to a mature flowering vine.

I had 2 of these and while they are pretty, and tall enough for my clematis, they didn't hold up to wind gusts with the weight of the plant on top of them. I had to cut the vines all the way to the ground to get them untangled from what was left of these trellises. The joints are weak and the part that goes in the ground not long enough.

I'm all for supporting an employee owned New England business BUT the products need to be better. I bought various plant supports this year. I don't mind assembling things but these all needed to be assembled from relatively small pieces which fell apart when you let go of them. In the end every joint had to be wrapped with electrical tape to hold them from falling apart. The worst were the tuteurs. They are very pretty but for their height they are weak. A simple clematis toppled them time after time but I guess that is because the feet, the wires that are pushed into the ground for support, are 4 INCHES long. Come on Gardeners this is just not good enough. I doubt I can ever use these tuteurs again. I had to cut away the clematises and hope they will grow back next year.

I purchased 4 of these for Clematis and morning glories. The first went together ok, but wasn't sturdy until I used a nylon maul to pound it together. The second, same problem, but it didn't pound together well. I ended up using black wire to keep the lower 2 sections together tightly. The wire doesn't show and the trellis is now very sturdy. I expect to do the same with the remaining two, but they are worth it- they look beautiful in the garden even without anything on them yet, and since it's fall I'll see them that way for months to come. I gave them 4 stars only because of the extra work, but would give them 5 stars for appearance.

It was very easy to put together. I have a trumpet vine inside it currently. It easily supports those somewhat heavy vines. Sits firmly in the ground. It adds a sense of grace to the garden.

I bought 2 of these structures to run clematis up but I also wanted a different "look" to the garden and this was the trick that fit both needs. It fit together without a problem and the look in the garden is totally different than what is normally found in most gardens....I love it!!

I purchased four of these for my honeysuckle plants. I love the way they look. Do not like the bottom of the trellis. There isn't any way to center it over the plant. The bottom legs need to be longer to accommodate the plant before the hinge.

It looks like the picture. It is about 6 feet tall. It comes in pieces that you fit together so it hard to line up and fit them together, especially the top.
