Not meant for your eyes
Easy to use product and was excited for the all in one feature. However, the product burned my eye and now I have puffy eyes and pink eye. Marketed for face and eyes but just like the other posts, DO NOT put it on your eyes.

Best hydrating makeup remover for dry, sensitive skin. Removes waterproof eye makeup with ease.
I really like this as a makeup remover as the first step of my cleansing routine. It’s not perfect, but it’s the closest to perfect I’ve found—and I’ve tried a lot of balm/ oil makeup removers (Pond’s cold cream, Neutrogena cleansing balm, Cerave cleansing balm, Clinique take the day off balm, Beauty of Joesen cleaning balm, Kose Cleansing Oil, and straight coconut oil, to name a few). For context: I have very sensitive, dry, eczema-and-acne-prone skin; I have very sensitive dry eyes; I live in a dry climate; and I regularly wear waterproof sunscreen, longer makeup, waterproof eyeliner, and waterproof mascara. Pros: -very hydrating—even more than the other balm/ oil makeup removers I’ve tried -it removes waterproof makeup with ease—again, better than any of the other balms/ oil I’ve tried -it rinses off my hands and face easily -it doesn't gunk up my sink -the eye-blurring is minimal to nonexistent, and any blurring that happens goes away as soon as I rinse the balm off -it’s affordable -it's easy to find in a variety of stores both locally and online Cons: -it can sting my eyes a little if I get a lot of the balm in them (though it doesn’t sting as much as Clinique, it doesn’t make them water, and I’m not entirely certain that it’s the balm itself rather than the dislodged makeup getting into my eyes) -it has an odd scent (though it’s clearly the ingredients’ smell rather than a fragrance, it’s not strong, and it doesn’t linger)

As someone with acne and currently on Tret and BP, I absolutely love this makeup remover. It gets everything on the first go, even my waterproof mascara. My holy grail.

Doesnt quite get everything
This is better as a first step rather than a total makeup remover

Gamechanger!!!
So effective at removing waterproof makeup and mascara! You must wash it off with your normal cleanser after which is expected. Leaves the skin looking hydrated. Love this and lays forever so will definitely repurchase!

Arrived Open and Damaged
This item was shipped to me used and open. The lid was separate and loose inside my package, allowing a bunch of other items to get covered in the cleansing balm. This is disgusting they would not only sell a used item, but that they would also not even try to make sure it’s untampered with or securely closed so it doesn’t damage the rest of an order.

Worth a look
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This item worked really well. Removed makeup effortlessly and literally melted onto my skin. Feels nice too. Silky smooth. Washes away leaving skin really smooth. Would recommend.

Smells bad. The texture isn’t as good as others I’ve used. My skin broke out while using.

Not impressed
I was really excited to try this, but my expectations turned out to be too high. The reason I gave this 2 stars is because it did remove my makeup well, did not burn my eyes, and there is a lot of product for the price. However, I will not be repurchasing this due to the horrible chemical smell, the lumpy/clumpy-ness of the product, and it is so hard to rinse off. I have used many cleansing balms, and this one is the only one I have had this hard of a time rinsing off. Once you emulsify it with water per the directions, it turns VERY waxy and does not want to come off. I end up having to use a washcloth to remove it which is more irritating for my sensitive skin. I would say as a cleansing balm, the ability for it to emulsify is very poor. A lot of the reviews are raving about this product, but I genuinely think you are better off finding something else. I never leave reviews either, this was bad enough that I felt compelled to write one.

Impossibke to remove
This product was so disappointing. It is very oily, more-so than other balms, which makes it impossible to remove with rinsing alone.

Hello Carli, thank you for reaching out about Garnier Makeup Cleansing Balm Hyaluronic Acid. It is disappointing to hear you did not get the results you had expected with this product. We recommend after cleansing with Erase It All Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Balm, follow with your favorite Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water to do a double cleansing routine. We hope this helps!

Scent is bad!
It does an ok job. Totally agree with others about the “scent”. It is awful. I ran out of my make-up eraser balm so I thought I would try this. I will be going back to my original and throwing away the rest of this product.

texture looks dry
I bought two balms and both of them have cracks. Not sure if it's because they were stored improperly after production.

Burns all over my face and eyes.
Awful. I have burns all over my face. It’s itchy and patchy. I switched all of my make up and brushes and realized the one thing I didn’t change was this product. Would not recommend.

Pretty good cleansing balm, but not the best
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cleansing balm is pretty good. It's not the best I've ever tried, but it's not bad. I like that it has hyaluronic acid in it, but I feel like a Korean skincare product of the same type would have much more benefits than this one. The texture melts right into your skin and does feel nice, but I'd probably pass next time.

Affordable, effective, convenient
Sure maybe it doesn’t smell like heaven itself, but it’s very affordable for the quantity, melts off my waterproof mascara, and washes off with a gentle cleanser so I’m a fan! I despise tiny containers that I have to repurchase all the time. So I’ll be happily using this for the next 6 months or so.
