Ghirardelli is The Chocolate + The Cocoa to buy!! So good. It’s a higher quality chocolate and all I use for baking and desserts. As a bonus— some brands of chocolate were found to have a high level of lead. Ghirardelli does not.

Ghirardelli is my go to chocolate to begin with so when I saw this dark chocolate cocoa powder, I couldn't resist and it absolutely did not disappoint! It's full of flavor and a little bit goes a long way! Not to mention, there are so many different uses!

Good cocoa. With a good composition, light color. Tasty. Good natural smell. The price is a bit expensive for such packaging. Zip lock packaging, it is not convenient for cocoa. Since the packaging remains dirty. I recommend pouring it into packages with a lid. I recommend this cocoa

This cocoa powder has a really deep chocolate flavor and is totally unsweetened, just like I like it. It mixes well in baking and drinks. Perfect for anyone who loves pure, strong chocolate flavor

Perfect for baking. It makes the best chocolate cakes and brownies. There are times when I can’t find it in the store but when I do I stock up. It’s so good and worth every penny.

I alternate between making a morning cappuccino and using this ground cocoa for a great hot chocolate. 3T of this cocoa, 1T of sugar and 2T of a good peppermint syrup, and foam the milk using my espresso machine, all in a decent sized mug. I like it much better than simply making a drink from a cocoa mix. I won't use any other chocolate. And no whipped cream ... simply the foamed milk!

I rarely write reviews, but I have to let the makers of this packaging know this is impractical for the user. I had to transfer it to another container because upon opening it and setting it on the countertop, of course it falls over and onto the counter and all over the floor and cabinets. Something this hard to clean up if it falls over which it will in time… Needs to be in something a little bit more Reliable so that it won’t spill.

Considering this cocoa has exposure to almost every major allergen, it should not be advertised as a premium product. People don't want to pay for "junk" in their food. I expected far better from this brand.

This order took 4 weeks to arrive. Was sitting at FEDEX in Lowell, MA since originally ordered on 12/8/24. Package arrived 1/3/25. This is unacceptable!!!! One star rating is overrated.

We used to use a different brand for homemade fudge and chocolate sauce. Once we tried this, we’ve never gone back! The best ever!

I made a batch of double chocolate chip muffins and a bath of strawberry raspberry swirl double chocolate chip muffins yesterday and it was my first time trying their cocoa I’ll be using it more often in recipes now.

I use this product in baking and its a very good quality cocoa. I bake cakes and cookies mainly and they turn out delicious and everyone loves the flavor.

This is the only cocoa powder I’ll use for baking. It works great in all the recipes I make. Only issue is that the bag’s seal isn’t the best. It’s hard to fully close and powder always puffs out.

I love this cocoa powder, it's absolutely delicious. All Ghirardelli products are delicious and this is no exception, it's great. The main problem I have with it is the package. I get the theory of a zip recloseable bag but for this particular product I find it impractible because the fine cocoa powder very easily clogs up the track of the "zipper" which makes it unzippable - at least for me. I always have to put the cocoa powder in another container once the zip becomes clogged. Other than this one small issue I love it and buy it all the time despite the packaging that I can easily work around. If you can find the Ghirardelli dutch-processed version, I highly recommend that one as well but for me it's as elusive as the fabled unicorn - grab it if you can find it and know how to bake with dutch-processed cocoa. Overall, this Ghirardelli cocoa is a great cocoa powder that in my opinion is worth the small extra cost.

I actually love the powder. I’d give it more stars if not for the packaging. I made German chocolate cake and it’s DELICIOUS. But clean up was a beast because simply opening the packaging, cocoa flew everywhere. Then attempting to scoop out of the packaging was difficult. The packaging is convenient for storage, and probably costs less due to weight, but it’s a big drawback when you’re trying to use more than a few spoonfuls at a time.
