Ghost Punch Needle Pillow Kit - Mondo Llama™

This was horrible and waste of my time and money I thought it was a user error but failed miserably and fabric did nothing did not even hold the stitches do not recommend.

I think it takes some time for beginners to learn and understand. In addition, the manual work is still very large. Although I have only punched out two little ghosts, I feel that I will be able to complete it in a few days. So far, what I have made looks very good.

Can’t get the yarn to stay after punching. Definitely not beginner friendly. Wouldn’t purchase again.

In a perfect world, you buy something and it works or serves its purpose. There used to be a time when things were sold as advertised. This product is a mere illusion of what is portrayed on the box. Even when you can get a stitch to hold, to call it a complete and whole ghost is not only a lie to the consumer but a lie to yourself. Save yourself the time, money, and grey hairs. Terrible quality, fabric doesn’t hold the yarn at all. Waste of time and money, hoping I can get a refund.

As like many others, wish I had read reviews. Thread doesn't stay, fabric develops holes. Very disappointed and will be seeking a refund.

Fabric not sturdy enough to hold the punches. Immediately falls apart.

I would give zero star if I could, fabric ripped with first few punches, already ruined within 5 min of starting. Will return. Too bad, it looked like a cute project!

The fabric seems sturdy but it’s not great for punching. There is no way to go back and salvage and of your punches because the fabric becomes too loose. It seems unnecessary to have such small yarn. Wish I had read the reviews first.

I’m so disappointed. I’ve done punch needle kits in the past, so I know this wasn’t user error. The punch needle was so hard to thread, the threader broke, the yarn wouldn’t hold loops, and then the punch needle would leave such big holes in the fabric that I couldn’t try the stitches again. I normally love and trust Target, but clearly no one actually tested this kit and products before getting them in stores. I wanted to make this cute pillow so bad. :( Can I get a refund on something already opened and used?

This is not for beginners and I'm not even confident it's for intermediate like the box suggests. The fabric isn't great. Of you mess up, you can't go back and reloop it. The yard is so skinny too, idk how anyone can make it look fluffy and lush like the box, especially since the fabric messes up so easily. You basically get one shot to punch and if it isn't perfect it's not sticking and you can't correct it. I love arts and crafts ..I hate this item.

I just finished the punching today and I'm super happy with how this turned out. I don't think this would be a good 1st punch needle project, but it's great for people with a couple small projects under their belt. The fabric is super sturdy and I was able to take out sections of punching and redo it with no problems. I had leftover white yarn, but used all the black and pink. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I am going to glue the back of the punched sections for extra security, but don't think it would be necessary for finishing. I might add a zipper when I sew the pillow together as well. The punching itself took several hours so don't expect to get this done in a weekend

Do not make this your first punch needling project. 😅 I botched it and I don’t think it’s salvageable.

This is a frustrating kit. I like many of the other mondo llama kits, but this one is unfortunately not made well. The thread doesn’t stay at all. I have a useless kit. Very unhappy. Do not buy.

Wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this. Now I just have a worthless kit.

Everything about this kit is awful. It doesn't work and causes so much of a headache. The wire to put the string in the punch needle broke after the first use, the string doesn't stay in the fabric when you punch it in, and whenever you have to restart there's so many holes, you have to go around and it messes up the design. Highly suggest skipping this!

If I could give this a 0/5 I would. I am an avid crafter, and this project is absolutely horrible. I thought it was going to be a cute little pillow to make, to put on my couch for halloween, and it end up being the bane of my existence. The fabric is not tight enough to hold. When you try to make a stitch on it, the needle itself punctures and makes holes. I used other punch needles I had, just because I loved the little pattern so much. Absolutely nothing I did worked. Do not waste your time or money on this project.
