Revolutionary, patent-pending technology makes this hose 50% lighter than standard hoses and up to 10x longer-lasting than expandable hoses. Its abrasion-resistant cover, up to 15x stronger than fabric hoses, withstands extreme temperatures and provides advanced UV protection. A proprietary material allows it to unkink itself, and its smooth cover glides over rough surfaces without snagging or tearing. Industrial-strength internal coils offer kink protection at ends, and patented, crush-proof couplings are ergonomically designed for easy on/off at the spigot. Coiling flat for storage, the AquaArmor™ Lightweight Hose becomes round for maximum flow during use, and it’s compatible with all nozzles and sprinklers, as well as pressure washers (follow manufacturer’s instructions). The hose does kink BUT once you turn the faucet on the 50" hose actually unkinks itself - sometimes you have to "shake" it - other times it "shakes" you. Have used it a few times. I hand-coiled it once - not a good idea - had to spend time with the un-kinking (I need to coil it every 2 weeks for yard worker) - maybe next time I will try to coil by rolling it on the outside of a water bucket....

This hose is soft light weight and feels nice . This hose is the worst hose that I have ever bought it links just about every time I move . You can not coil it up because it gets several kinks no matter how you coil / roll it up . If you lay it straight it will still kink and with good pressure it will not come in kinked . I will be returning it . And the Gilmour company will not take phone calls only emails .
