Kids’ measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

The sweetest little tank top

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bow front knit tank top by Art Class is so cute. The fabric is high-quality as it is buttery soft, has adjustable straps and has a high-end look to it. It is a great product for the price. I do feel it runs a little small. My daughter wears a 3T and is wearing the size extra small and I feel like it fits her perfectly though it is supposed to fit a size 4/5.

It’s a sunny sweet yellow color, has spaghetti style straps and a cute little bow on the front making it a sweet and feminine tank top. My daughter usually wears a size twelve or fourteen. We purchased this tank top in a size extra large and it fit her very well.

Good for summer but just fit weird

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cute shirt from Art Class but it just fit my 7 year old daughter weird. It has adjustable shoulder straps so you can adjust them so they fit better but the fit on her just was weird. She is wearing a size small, which she usually wears but it seemed too big on her but then not long enough in the front. Cute style for summer though, just the wrong fit.

Cute shirt and nide quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this shirt in a size medium for my daughter. This is the size she usually wears in this brand and it fits her mostly as expected. It’s a bit bigger in the top of the shirt and has some gapping that I wish wasnt there. The material is soft and she really likes the comort of the shirt. Its good a a basic top for summer.

It’s cute, but I don’t know on which planet the small is a 6/7. It’s at least two sizes too big. Skirt also ran big as well.

Knit tank with bow in front

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter is nine years old and typically wears a size 10–12. She liked this tank top as it had a little cute bow on the front. It was nice that the straps were adjustable as we had to adjust them in order for it to fit right. Cute color and soft material. Would definitely be perfect to wear in the summer and nice and cool.
