Kids’ measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

True to size

We grabbed this set in both blue and brown for my girls and they are obsessed! For sizing, I ordered a Medium for my 7-year-old and an XL for my 9-year-old. I’d say they run a little big, so I’d recommend sticking with your child’s usual size, they’ll have plenty of room to grow and get lots of wear out of them. The material is lightweight and perfect for summer. My girls have been wearing these sets nonstop. Such a cute, comfy outfit for everyday play!

Blue Navy Short and Long Sleeve set

The set is so stinking cute!!! Although this sell separately from the top, it goes together! I put my daughters in it when we had a campfire so they would not be too hot or too cold. They did put bug spray on their legs though because it is pantless. It is truly the cutest summer matching set!!
