Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Tall girlie approved!

Size M in dresses usually fit too big but S fits snug and I’m happy this dress was stretchy on top and long enough to reach my 6 year olds knees and she’s a bit over 4 ft. I also love the design—pink with flowers! Pairs well with her cat and jack brown boots! I wash all her dresses on delicate and let them air dry and still look like new!

Cute and comfy girls summer dress

The adjustable straps are perfect. It's lightweight and breathable and it's a perfect summertime dress. The color is fun and pretty. My daughter says it's really comfortable and she loves this dress.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My eleven year old daughter is 4 foot 7 inches tall, weighs approximately 75 lbs, and tried on the size medium in this floral printed smocked drop waist dress. I would say this fits her just fine- we’d agree it fits pretty true to size. I love the pretty green color. She isn’t the biggest fan of the style of the dress once I got it on her, but I do think other girls will love it!

Girls floral smocked dress

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how girly and feminine this dress looked on my daughter. The smocking on the top was super cute and I loved the ruffles on it. The color was beautiful also with the flowers all over it. She is nine years old and weighs 75 pounds. The size 10–12 fit her well and I liked how the arms straps were adjustable in case she needed to shorten it. Super cute for the summer!

Nice stylish summer dress

This dress fit her as expected and is comfortable for her. The bodice part of the dress is form fitting while the skirt part puffs out a little bit. The color is great for spring and summer months too.

My daughters favorite dress!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the floral sage green dress for my daughter and it quickly became her favorite dress for the summer! I love the fabric and how its fitted in the torso and poofs out at the bottom. It is very flattering on my little girl. The color is true to the photo and she is wearing a size XS 4/5 to which i would probably suggest it runs slightly small as she hardly fits in this size yet normally.
