Kids’ measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Cute kitten Best Friends t-shirt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the girls short sleeve 100 percent cotton kitten Best Friends t-shirt. This is an all cotton jersey fabric so I did size up to allow for shrinkage. This is an oversized t-shirt so possibly I did not need to size up, I got a size S (6-7) my girl currently wears an XS (4-5) but sometimes after washing I wish I had gotten the bigger size. This is a midweight very comfortable cotton and the graphic is super cute. The graphic is blended into the fabric perfectly so it should not peel off.

Great graphic tee, wearing size large

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this cat and Jack graphic shirt for my 11 year-old daughter and her normal size of large and it fit through two size. For reference she is about 5 feet tall and weighs about 100 pounds. She really likes these graphic to use as they are easy to mix a match with shorts and pants. They are a little oversized and not fitted which she likes. they are also an excellent price which I like.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the cutest little t-shirt!! I got the XS for my 3 year old thinking it would be an oversized fit like most t-shirts in that size. But this is definitely an oversized fit, so depending how you want it to fit, it definitely runs large. The graphics are sooo cute!! My daughter and I are obsessed. I like the vintage vibes. And I love that it’s all cotton!! Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This oversized tee is so cute! Online it is described as olive green but I’d say it is more of a Spring green. It’s a very pretty light green. There are flowers and two adorable kittens on the front playing with butterflies . It says “Best Friends Celebrate Your Magic”. It is definitely oversized. I bought my daughter her normal size of XXL and it fit great. (She is 4’11 and around 100 lbs). It runs larger than normal because it is oversized so keep that in mind when choosing the size. My daughter said it is soft and feels comfortable to wear. It’s a great tee shirt.

Cute oversized kitten shirt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the cutest kitten shirt. My child typically wears a 4t some 5t shirts, so I decided to see how an xs would fit. It is definitely oversized and maybe a little on the bigger side. The fabric seems like it will hold up in the wash and if it does shrink (it is 100 percent cotton) it will be ok. My child absolutely loves it.
