When the first box (with 4 candles) came I heard broken glass when our mailman set the box down. I took a knife outside and carefully opened the box. Each candle appeared to hav been wrapped, singly, in a webbed layer to protect each candle. It appears that no handle with care was put on the package It had been shook or dropped many times because the box was full of broken glass and unusable candles. They were replaced with new candles and they came in perfect shape. Love the smell of these.
