This is one of three candles I have on rotation. This candle, the Honeycomb Rose candle by Chesapeake Bay, and the Red Mandarin and Guava candle by Threshold are absolute must-haves for me. This candle is for when I want a soothing purely floral scent, Honeycomb Rose for when I want a mix between floral and sweet, and Red Mandarin and Guava for when I want to recharge/energise with something fruity. I’ve tried both the tall single-wick as well as two-wick version of this candle. Both do a good job of spreading the scent throughout the room, although the two-wick candle tends to burn more evenly. If you want the aesthetic of something tall and sleek, go with the single-wick 10.5oz. It looks super classy and lasts quite a long time. If you want a chunkier candle, go with the two-wick. The scent profile of this candle is primarily floral, although I guess you could say it has scents of honey, although for me it’s purely ylang ylang. The ylang ylang balances well with the rose and leaves a lingering scent even a couple days after burning. I don’t have a large house, so it’s much easier to fill the rooms of my house than it might be for someone with a house with open-air and big windows/doors. If you have a bigger house, multiple candles might be better. The cold throw (scent of unlit candle) is the same as hot throw (scent of lit candle), so if you’re not sure you’ll like it, buy one first and get more if you like it but feel it doesn’t fill enough space. It’s a decent quality candle. Sometimes the wick can mushroom a bit, but I haven’t had issues of black soot gathering at the top of the jar. The orange glass reflects a pretty, calming colour when lit. Pretty unusual jar for a candle, but the Project 62 candle jars are all nice. Check out the Red Mandarin and Guava and Honeycomb Rose candles, as well. I have a stock of these three candles.
