Can someone please tell me in what order to assemble the shade to the base. There are four pieces: the glass shade, the place piece that connects the shade to the bulb, a metal washer, and a rubber washer. I am losing my mind trying to figure out how this assembles. Please help, I love the lamp.

Bought this lamp several months ago and it's functioned without any issues. This lamp is very functional and asthetically pleasing. You can adjust the height of the lamp, swing the arm back & forth as well as adjust the shade in how much it tips. Plus, this is a rotary switch. Who doesn't love a dimming feature?! I personally, bought an edison light bulb for a softer ambient light. I can have this light on very low while watching tv or bright enough for reading a book.

Looks really good in my space however when I was assembling the lamp a piece of paint chipped off. And a whole piece of the length of the lamp I couldn’t use (it comes with 3 pieces to screw together to make it tall) because the threading was bent. I couldn’t make that piece work so it ended up being a little bit shorter. you can adjust the light higher so it ended up working out. For $90 I Wouldn’t buy it again.

The lamp seemed a little unsteady when first put together. Also, I discovered it only allowed for a 40 watt bulb which was much dimmer than I wanted. Last week it wouldn't come on at all. Tried a different bulb, a different plug and completely dead. Hoping I can find my receipt to get a refund.

Lamp is not black. It’s oil brushed bronze. You can see the Cooper color near the lamp shade.
