I’m not sure if I just have an inferior palate to the reviewer above, but I used this flour for oatmeal raisin cookies (admittedly much more oatmeal than flour) and could not detect a difference to normal flour. It was also $2.89 when I bought it so cost wise it was easily the best choice against alternatives.
When Target stopped carrying my absolutely favorite gluten free flour, Cup 4 Cup, I was devastated. It was a seamless replacement for all purpose (gluten full) flour. It was truly an amazing product. No need to add anything to it like traditional gluten-free flours with an amazing taste and texture. I tried this flour, Simply Balanced, hoping it would be great as well and let me tell you, it’s not. My cake completely fell apart, the taste is awful. Like a dusty funky tapioca flavor. I am so bummed I spent $7 on the flour (I used the whole bag) and another $12 on other products to make my mom a cake and I have to throw it away...it’s actually falling off my cake plate like it wants to escape any chance of being eaten...
PS order Cup 4 Cup online instead, thank me later.
