Q: in 2021 has the formula changed? i do not see the hydroxyethyl urea now listed ?

Q: If methylisothiazolinone was removed from the ingredients in 2016 then why is that ingredient still listed on the item description? When I purchased it it listed phenyoxyethanol instead.

submitted by LC - 3 years ago
  • A: Hello and thanks for your question. If you are referring to the website – www.Hadalabotokyo.com, we apologize as this is still in the process of being updated. The ingredient – methylisothiazolinone - was removed from the product, just not our website.

Q: Did the formula change recently? When I purchased it a few months ago it did not have methylisothiazolinone in it.

submitted by LC - 3 years ago
  • A: Yes, there was a formula change. We removed methylisothiazolinone from the Hada Labo Tokyo™ Skin Plumping Gel Cream in 2016.

I love Hada Labo, but this one is a pass for me. I don’t like the stickiness that lasts for a long time on my face, especially since I use this during day time. Also, it doesn’t help my skin or anything. I’ve been using for quite some time but totally no difference.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a true gel texture with a nice, light weight feel to it. I have normal to oily skin and it sits perfectly in my oily t-zone with out making me more oily. I highly suggest this for all skin types though, I think it’s a great moisturizer for everyone.

Great hydration, doesn’t clog pores

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always used a gel or a serum in the mornings and a heavier cream at night, so I was excited to add this to my morning routine. I’ve been using it for about a month and a half every day (except mayyybe 3 times where I just wore sunscreen). It sinks in wonderfully, keeps my skin hydrated but not oily, doesn’t clog my pores, and sits beautifully under makeup! I use mostly fragrance free skincare, as I have bad allergies, and this has been great for that as well. Even better? It looks like I’ve barely made a dent into it because you don’t need very much at all. I’m only knocking off one star because I don’t notice any “skin plumping” and that’s literally in the name. Otherwise, it’s pretty perfect. Not sure if I’ll repurchase, but that’s only just because something else might enter my routine by the time I finish it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the clean ingredients in this product. I love that it is free of parabens, fragrance, dye and mineral oil. This cream worked so well with my sensitive skin type and never caused a breakout or irritation. I would use it after I used my regular facial moisturizer and it helped make my skin feel so hydrated and soft and plump. I did notice a reduction in wrinkles around my eyes after using this cream for a while. I would highly recommend this product to all my family and friends.

A Hydration Hero - Hada Labo Tokyo Skin Plumping Gel Cream

originally posted on influenster.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the Hada Labo Tokyo Skin Plumping Gel Cream, and it has quickly become a staple in my skincare routine. Here's why: Texture: The cream has a lightweight, gel-like texture that feels incredibly refreshing on the skin. It goes on smoothly and gets absorbed quickly without leaving any greasy residue. This texture makes it perfect for both daytime and nighttime use. Effect on Skin: The "skin plumping" promise isn't an exaggeration. After using this cream consistently, I noticed that my skin felt noticeably more hydrated and plump. It helped to reduce the appearance of fine lines and gave my complexion a healthy, dewy glow. I was particularly impressed with how well it kept my skin moisturized throughout the day. Packaging: The packaging is simple, elegant, and practical. Plus, it's travel-friendly and doesn't take up much space in my skincare bag. Super Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen: The star ingredients of this cream are the Super Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen. Super Hyaluronic Acid is incredibly effective at retaining moisture, and I could feel its hydrating power the moment I applied the cream. Collagen, on the other hand, helped to improve the elasticity of my skin, making it feel firmer and smoother over time. In conclusion, the Hada Labo Tokyo Skin Plumping Gel Cream is a game-changer for anyone looking to boost their skin's hydration and youthful appearance. Its light texture, smart packaging, and the power of Super Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen make it a must-have in my skincare collection. I highly recommend giving it a try!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Halo Labo Tokyo plumping gel cream with hyaluronic Acid and Collagen is a good product if you want your skin to be supple, hydrated and soft. This cream locks the moisture in your skin making it soft and smooth. I did notice reduction in fine lines and skin does feel fresh and rejuvenating. It doesn't have much of a scent. I do recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first skincare I've ever used that leaves lasting plumped skin and shine after I have washed my face, and even still, putting on my less thick lotion. This stuff has changed my skin - period. Even when I take a break for a day. And then I wash my face the next day, then go to so the daily skincare routine. And when I first touch my skin, it's STILL plump. They advertise 24 hour hydration. Party people, yeah let me assure you as you throw your hands in the air like you really DO care - they ain't lying. The gel is a dream to put on, feels great going on, and dries fast. I will but this again and again. It's made me look 3 years younger! It's freaking awesome! K bye! Came back to say one more thing. This stuff has definitely taken a few years off my face. I have nasolabial folds that for about 4 years, I have felt are beyond my age. This cream has changed my skin, on a level that I, my biggest critic (because we are our own worst critics), cannot even deny. It kind of blows my mind, which leads me to my next statement: to be fair, I have been raving about this stuff to my husband. But, today I went to him and asked his honest opinion. I said 'without being influenced by my opinion, what do YOU think?' And he agreed! And I said 'I just wanted to ask, bc I'm wondering if it's all in my head... or wishful thinking....' and he said 'no, I think your cream is def doing something.' So thats all yall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very thankful I received the chance to try this skin plumping gel! Normally, my skin is extremely sensitive and will “purge” because of any new kind of product I apply to my face but this time was different. I applied a thin layer to clean skin right before bed and when I woke my skin was still clear! It also felt so much smoother, hydrated and firmer. I love the fact that this gel did not leave my skin feeling oily or greasy like most gels do. My skin seems to love it so far and so do I! I highly recommend trying this skin plumping gel!

Loved this cream for a long time, but the new formula has methylisothiazolinone in it, which is a contact allergen for some and an irritant for many. I thought it wasn’t even allowed in leave-on formulas. If they switch back to the other preservative I’ll buy it again in a heartbeat, otherwise I’m done, sadly.

I love this gel cream, and have been using daily for 2 years. This really helped heal my skin barrier, and my skin looks amazing. Use on damp skin and it sinks in, if you use on dry skin it will leave a sticky finish.
