Bassinet tilts / not level

2 out of 5 stars

My baby rolled in the bassinet wearing a swaddle at only 5 weeks old. We graduated her to sleep sacks but see now that the rolling is because of the extreme slant of the sleep surface. She wakes up pressed against the mesh because of this, and as a result the mesh is stretched out and loose. Loved this at first with the newborn insert, but now I question the safety of the product. She’s around 11-12 pounds now.

Slanted

This bassinet is not good for safe sleep at all. I am not one to write reviews, but I felt it was needed in this case because this bassinet is NOT SAFE. It is slanted and not level. My baby was rolling to the side immediately when I put her down in it. I put her down after she falls asleep in my arms and this was wayyy before she started rolling on her own. I woke up to her face against the mesh. This bassinet is definitely not level, please don’t waste your money or put your baby at risk.

This is unsafe. It slants to the side and my baby rolled in it all the time. I finally got out a level and it was way off. Do not purchase.

Perfect for Travel

The initial setup was pretty easy. I had a little bit of difficulty initially in snapping the pieces together, but only took like 10 minutes in total once I figured it out. I love how portable it is and that it is mesh all around. I can collapse the bassinet and put it easily in the travel bag in just a minute or two. Baby has slept in it comfortably twice so far. I do wish there were more options for the height. The 2 positions are both very high and don’t fit right when trying to use the bassinet next to a sofa.

It’s not level at all!! I didn’t realize it until I found my swaddled newborn had rolled to her side, face pressed against the mesh. It has continued to happen no matter how I position her. This is my 3rd baby and never have I ever been so scared of a product. I always follow the sids guidelines and I have so much mom guilt and feel I’ve lost complete faith in halo.

Another Halo Hit with affordability

4 out of 5 stars
Bassinest - 5 months ago
originally posted on Halo Sleep
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Halo BassiNest Flex, let’s start with this thing is massive. It takes up a ton on space and that is my biggest complaint. I was able to put this together in about 5 minutes, The demo video makes it look super easy and it is. I was surprised. I like how the pieces snap together easily like the video shows and it doesn’t require and tools or screws. I didn’t have any issues with slanting toward the bed or baby rolling into the mesh sides like other bassinets. The collapsible side is sturdy, I wasn’t sure what to expect but that thing is strong/ dependable. My baby did seem comfortable in the bassinet the padding was definitely more plush than other bassinets I have owned. I wasn’t disappointed with the quality. We have 4 kiddos and have used Halo brand products with all of them. Another great and affordable product from one of our favorite safe brands. I love the affordability and enticement of portability of this bassinet I would definitely take it on vacation. The included travel bag made having a safe place for baby possible while visiting family. The colors are very neutral and pleasant to the eye. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bassinet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Liked the height, but did not like how it appeared slanted. It was spacious, but was somewhat annoying to put together. Baby had no issue, however, would have loved a vibrate/music feature.

I’ve had this for about four months and thank god I don’t use it often, mostly as a changing station downstairs. The bassinet is not level, slopes slightly toward the front, so if my baby takes a nap she’s jammed up against the front every time. I was warned about this issue from a friend.

Seemed good at first

Cerise H. - 5 months ago

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I suggest everyone read the 1 star reviews. This bassinet has a slight tilt; the sleeping surface is not level. When my daughter was a newborn she was fine being in this bassinet and I never noticed that it was not level as she was always in the center. However, as she gained weight, she kept sliding over to the left (the side where the legs open outward). The weight limit on this is 20lbs, and my daughter was 12lbs at the time. I would always find her on the left side with her face in the mesh! Just like some of the other reviewers said. I don’t think this bassinet is safe and it’s very unstable. If she was any heavier or started to roll, I feel like it would tip over.

Bassinet tilts forward. Liability for Newborns

1 out of 5 stars
RS - 6 months ago
originally posted on Halo Sleep
Exactly what all of the other 1 star reviews have said. This bassinet tilts towards the front. The second you put a newborn down they roll to the front and within 3 hours their face is pressed against the mesh. Our 4 day old has already rolled onto his stomach in this bassinet. This product is a company liability suit in the making.

Do not buy this bassinet unless you want you kid to turnover. The front tilts downward. Not safe for a baby/newborn. Called Halo customer service they said don’t see this issue gf often and it’s a customer error. Everything is clipped in based on instructions.
