Does NOTHING to reduce startle reflex

I should have listened to the negative reviews. This does absolutely nothing to even remotely help reduce the startle reflex. We loved the Halo Swaddle Sleepsacks - my 3-month-old would go down super easily and sleep through the night most nights. Unfortunately, she is also off the charts for her size and has most definitely outgrown the swaddles… so I was hoping this would do the trick. Sadly, it has not and it has taken nearly three hours for her to settle and fall asleep every night since switching to this and she wakes multiple times during the night. It is nothing more than an over-priced sleep sack.

I'm going to start by saying I was so very sad the day my little man could roll in his magic Merlin sleep suit. (hence making it not sleep safe) so, after scouring the internet for alternatives we came across this. Some said it works, some not. Well I'm here to say IT WORKS!!! even through the terrors of teething, it worked. the first night he stirred a bit more then usual, but by the second night it was just like the Merlin. This momma is so happy and thankful we found something that works and is sleep safe!! the quality is very good and nice. I keep the house at 69-70 when we sleep and he's always very comfortable. all I can say is BUY IT!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sleep sack has been great for my son since transitioning from a swaddle. It’s a good fabric and weight for a winter sleep sack. I would probably use something lighter in the summer. Highly recommend!

Our baby started out in a halo sleep sack swaddled and then transitioned to a zipadee zip when he started rolling. We wanted to get him transitioned out of the zippadee zip into something that didn’t cover his hands and still was safe for him to roll in, and we landed on this product. Guess what- it did the trick! We kept him in this for a few weeks and now he is transitioned into a sleeveless wearable blanket. I do wish this was less thick, as I felt like it was a bit too heavy/warm.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our girl loves these! She has used it since 10 weeks old and we are loving her to the next size. She sleeps hot and she has never woken up sweaty in this. She can move in her crib and has access to her hands for self soothing etc. she’s 3.5 months and sleeps 9-11 hours a night.

I didn’t want to jinx myself by writing a review, but I have to let other parents know - this is a lifesaver! My 4 month old was waking up 2-3 hours during her sleep regression. This is her 4th night and she started with 6 hour stretches to now sleeping all night!!! Bought a second as a backup and am so grateful to halo for sleep! It is a little heavy with the quilting but we try and keep our house cool (~70) and she doesn’t seem to mind. I love as this isn’t a true weighted blanket (and a lot cheaper!), but because of the fabric provides a little more security for the startle reflex.

It’s basically like a glorified sleep sack with arms. The arm movement isn’t hindered or moderated at all. Also it’s made of heavy fabric, so not ideal for warmer climates or summer months. Fits true to size and my baby doesn’t mind it, but it really seems kinda worthless in the “transition” sense. Hardly swaddle-ish.

Sorry to hear Easy Transition wasn't your favorite. The sleeves and the snugger torso are designed to help prevent the startle reflex. However, every baby is different and may have different sleep styles or needs. Sorry it wasn't for you.

My baby is 10 weeks old and was not sleeping great. He also did not want to be swaddled. The first night he wore this he slept a 4.5 hr stretch for the 2nd time ever. 2nd night, 8 hours of sleep with one feeding in the middle! A miracle considering the week before he was waking every 1-2 hours! We have the Halo sleep sack swaddles and I tried swaddling him with one arm out for a week and then moved to both arms out. The first night we put him down with both arms out he basically didn’t go to sleep. He couldn’t go more than 20 min without startling himself awake. I put him back in the full swaddle and went online at midnight looking for an alternative. Had to order this from another retailer because the gray was out of stock, but I am very happy with it! I was skeptical the quilting would dull his startle reflex, but can’t argue with 8 hours of sleep. It’s also a good weight. I put him in cotton footie pjs under this and it was perfect. (For reference, winter in VA in a room about 70 degrees).

Works great for my baby! She has always loved a swaddle, and for several months could not fall asleep without a swaddle. I was very worried to transition her out of a swaddle, and this has been the best sleep sack we've tried in our transition process.

Shrank after 2 washes

I’ll start by saying I have been a huge fan of Halo products. Used only halo for my first child. That being said I brought 2 of these. They were great until after exactly 2 washes, they both shrank. Initially I thought it may be just a fabric defect with the pink one but not the case. Same exact thing happened with the gray one. Washed in cold water, dried on medium heat. Disappointing and a waste of money for 2 weeks of use.
