I am so happy with my purchase. This is my first bread machine, and it’s so easy to use. I’ve done the 2 and 1.5 Basic White Bread, 1.5 Express White Bread, Cinnamon Raisin Bread, Pizza Dough, and Strawberry Jam. Everything has come out perfectly. I used the delay timer this morning for White Bread, and it worked great. I could smell the bread before I even got out of bed.
It really can’t be any easier to use. You measure ingredients and put them in the pan in the order given. Then choose the cycle and press start. In 1-3 hours you’ve got a loaf of fresh bread. It’s also super easy to clean. I really don’t understand how this one was so much cheaper than other bread makers. It’s truly a great purchase and I’m glad that I chose this one!
This machine works fine and is reasonable priced. I have been using bread machines for over 20 years. I have learned that to ensure the bread rises you should aid the initial mixing of the ingredients with a spatula, adding more liquid if the dough is too hard or more flour if the dough is too runny. Also, prepare the yeast first by mixing 1/4 cup of warm water, 2 tsp of dry yeast, and 1 tsp sugar in a cup. By the time you've added the rest of the ingredients to the machine, the yeast should be foamy and is ready to add to the machine. You can by large packages of dry yeast at a low price that should last months.
I had my first bread machine for 20yrs it was an Oster. It just stopped working. I wanted one really quickly as I love homemade bread. Saw this and since the price was amazing and I have other Hamilton Beach products I gave it a try. It made the best bread I have ever made...it was so much lighter then the Oster made, using the same ingredients. Trying rye bread next.
