Q: How to prevent Waffles sticking to the plate ? I tried spraying oil .. but still it sticks to the plate
submitted by Priya - 1 year ago
A: Thank you for your question. We can suggest using non-aerosol nonstick sprays, oil, or butter on the cooking surface.

This waffle maker made the worst waffles we have ever had - would not crisp and very flimsy waffles with very few waffle pockets.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made my first batch of waffles ever at midnight after a long day at work. They were surprisingly good! This waffle maker is rather simplistic, which makes it easy to use. I did notice that the heating might be a little uneven if you leave it open for a long time. I learned that closing it in between batches, and pouring the batter quickly made my waffles much better! I highly recommend reading the instruction booklet. It has a lot of good tips! The basic waffle recipe from the booklet tastes better than store-bought waffle mix.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used this waffle iron at home with a prepackaged mix to make brunch. It makes real fluffy Belgian style waffles. It would be better if the plates were removable so that they could be washed, not just wiped down with soapy dishcloth. If you wanted to make waffles every week, I would suggest you look for a waffle iron that is easier to clean, but this is great if you’re only making them for special occasions.

Tops with blueberries delicious. Can’t wait to try to experiment with fun recipes. Clean up was a breeze. Perfect size for storing. Takes up minimum space. Bring on the whip cream and enjoy the best waffle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The waffle maker performed as it should! There was nothing that stood out, since it is a basic waffle maker. Even though the waffle maker had a non-stick surface, any of the spillage was somewhat difficult if trying to clean it and not get water inside the unit, I still give it a good rating because it is a basic waffle maker and performed well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Full size waffle maker with power and preheat lights. Stores sitting upright and saves space. Cord is not very long, so that could be an issue for where it can be plugged into. It has non-stick plates but I gave it a spray of non-stick cooking spray to make sure it removed cleanily. While waffle makers are usually hard to clean, this one wiped clean easily. Follow instructions closely. It says to let cook until steaming stops to ensure a golden brown waffle. My daughter loved the waffles. We use it for breakfast and breakfast for dinner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Belgian waffle maker is a great appliance. It needs no non stick spray which I love! Cleans up like a charm. It also heats up promptly and cooks the waffle evenly. The design is nice and starts heating when you plug it in. There is a red and green light to tell you when it’s ready or not. I highly recommend this Belgian waffle maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the waffle maker three times since receiving. It makes some killer waffles, but unfortunately has some shortcomings that would prevent me from purchasing again in the future. Moisture accumulates during the cooking process and leaves me having to clean the counter after use. Also the handle to open the waffle maker gets extremely hot. You need to use a cloth to open so you don't get burned. I didn't read the directions, but there is no obvious way to tell the waffle is done so I found myself opening it multiple times throughout the cooking process. On the plus side, the waffles did turn out well, and I didn't have any issues with sticking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The waffle maker is nice and compact and made wonderful waffles! It is nice for a small family or single person. It would have been nice if the griddle plates were removable for cleaning as getting down in between the ridges took a little work. Using this product was uncomplicated and directions were easy to follow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm the Belgian waffle lover in my home. Although I have 6 children, full weekend breakfasts are always a challenge. I've owned a few waffle makers through the years and the Hamilton Beach works great for a hungry family. One major thing I discovered with this waffle maker is that you need to use less batter than other machines. I found out the hard way when it bubbled out the sides. Lesson noted. The teflon interior makes for easy release of the waffles but to be safe I still use as release spray before use. Leaving the waffles in the machine for a minute or 2 more assures me that the inside will be fully cooked with no doughy consistency. Using a higher setting means I will have a more crispy outside without dark spots. This is a wipe clean model, easy open and seal and I'm a happy Mom using this Belgian waffle maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me tell you about my test run with Hamilton Beach's Belgian Waffle Maker. First off, this is a nice compact appliance. It won't eat up a lot of real estate during storage. You'll find the cooking surface to have deep wells that will crisp up nicely and hold all that good syrup. The nonstick plates on this waffle maker are super smooth and silky. This surface, along with the recommended spritz of cooking spray, helped my waffles pop right out when cooked. I experienced zero sticking! Kids all gave a thumbs up to the tasty waffles we turned out with this! You'll love the light that shows when the waffle maker is ready for use. No more guessing if it's hot enough to start cooking! This waffle maker did a good job with even heating. We like our waffles midway between soft and crispy and it fit the bill. A couple things you'll want to be aware of : this unit does emit quite a bit of steam around the latch area. Use a potholder to keep your fingers cool. Also, as indicated in the instruction booklet, the preheat light is only to let you know when you may begin cooking. How long you leave your waffles to cook is up to you. This preheat light does not indicate when waffles are finished cooking. If you like softer waffles, then take a peek when steaming slows. If you like a crisper waffle, let it cook a bit longer. Simple! Cleaning is a breeze. I recommend a soft bristled kitchen brush to really get down in between those deep wells. Removable plates for washing would be a fantastic upgrade, but you'll be able to handle this even without that because of the quality nonstick surface. This is a great product to help you get a great meal on the table, and have some fun while you're doing it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great waffle maker. It's super easy to use and makes excellent tasting waffles. It heats up quickly and makes perfect golden brown waffles in less than 10 minutes. Nothing gets stuck on it and its easy to wipe clean. I love that it divides the waffles into 4 separate pieces and the size is great.
