About this item

Over the past decade, the influence of global institutions and actors on domestic education policy has increased significantly. With contributions from an international cast of established and emerging scholars at the forefront of the field, The Handbook of Global Education Policy provides a comprehensive and provocative overview of current research on the interplay between global policy and education. The Handbook has been strategically divided into four thematic sections, each featuring a thorough introduction designed to both facilitate readers' understanding of the topic and to highlight broader links to interdisciplinary global policy scholarship. The first section offers a comprehensive survey of current debates surrounding the role of education in global polity, while the second section highlights key transnational policy actors. The third section focuses on introducing and elucidating research methodologies, while the fourth section outlines global agendas for education reform.
