Highly Posable & Authentically Harry

Summary: Overall this is a great product whether you want to display it or play with it. Package design is great and easy to remove. Harry Potter is made of quality materials that seem durable for play, and it is highly posable, standing well on its own. The way his glasses insert under the hair is a clever design. Cute details such as the Hogwarts crest and Harry’s forehead scar add authenticity to the doll, though I do wish the face mold captured his likeness a little more. This is a great Harry Potter doll. The materials used are better than what I have seen in similar style dolls. The fabrics in the cloak are especially great. Hogwarts crests are screenprinted onto both the cloak and the sweater underneath. Pants, boots, arm guards, and glasses round out his attire, with underwear as part of the plastic mold of the doll body. The paint job and hair molds are also great. The accessories include a plastic snitch that fits well in Harry’s hand and a broom that feels like it’s mostly made of hollow plastic. My only real complaint is that the face mold does not look so much like Daniel Radcliffe starring as Harry Potter in the movies, but since Harry Potter is based on a book series, I would say the doll is a Harry Potter doll. Because a picture of Radcliffe is featured on the package, it is easy to draw comparisons between the doll’s likeness (or not) to Radcliffe. My two favorite parts of this doll are that it is highly posable and also how the glasses are meant to be worn on the doll. Often dolls such as this do not stand on their own once you unbox them, no matter what you see in the pictures. This Harry Potter stands on his own easily! Win!! My other favorite part is how his glasses fit into little spaces between his hair and the side of his face. It helps prevent them from falling off. They would likely fall off with child’s play, but not from being on display for a collector. This is the first doll design I’ve seen that is actively trying to find a way to keep the glasses on, but if the glasses were lost, it does not look weird for him to have no glasses on. I would like to see more of this kind of design work for dolls, as both a collector and as a mom of kids with toys that have so many small pieces! The package design is attractive and collectible/giftable. Packaging art on the front features a picture of Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter dressed for a Quidditch match. The card behind the doll is designed like a newspaper and features content from the books/movies. Packaging art on the back features Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy images as Quidditch players and a description of them as facing off as Seekers for Gryffindor and Slytherin. I think collectors would be pleased with this doll and that it would make a great addition to be put on display out of the box in a pose. My son says he likes the broom and wants to make it zoom around, and my daughter says she would make a house for the doll or put “Quidditch Harry” on display on her dresser. This Harry Potter doll has very realistic features. His clothing matches that of the early movies in the series. His joints all move and when positioned right he will stand up. Both my son and my daughter love to play with him. Would be a great gift for all Harry Potter fans! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I’ve been debating on getting this Harry Potter Quidditch character for awhile now for my boys, but kinda for myself lol. I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. My boys run around the house having Harry fly playing Quidditch with Batman and Superman lol. This on is bigger than I thought it would be, and that’s even better. Love it, the detail that’s ad put into this toy is remarkable and I absolutely will be getting the other characters that go with this set. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

"It's an OK toy."

My 6yo reviewed this product. It is well constructed. He said that it's an OK toy, he enjoyed playing with it and making it fly around the house, but he wouldn't play with it that much in the future. He liked how the glasses came off Harry. He suggested that the broom attach to Harry so it was easier for kids to fly him around on the broom. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My 7-year-old daughter absolutely loves Harry Potter so when this came in the mail she was ecstatic. She immediately opened the doll and started to play with it. Her favorite part about this Harry Potter figure was making him fly on the included broomstick. I could just hear her in her room playing with Harry Potter along with her other dolls. This figure seems to be really good quality has moveable joints. Harry's broomstick and snitch are also included so that you can have a Quidditch match! The figure is durable and fun for the imagination. I wish there were more characters too! Big con: the glasses!!! They kept falling off, my kids were frustrated and now they are lost. Lots of tears flowing because Harry doesn’t look like Harry without the glasses. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great as display piece or toy

We are a Harry Potter obsessed household-Mom too! The Harry Potter quidditch doll is great for play or just as a display piece. I did manage to get Harry to stand up by himself on his broom, however it did take a bit of maneuvering to balance him right. This Harry is about the size of a Barbie doll. His body is hard plastic with the exception of his head and hands which are a pliable rubbery material. The arms are jointed at the shoulders, elbows, and wrists for ease of posing, while Harry's legs bend at the knees to allow him to mount his broom. Harry's boots and arm cuffs have a large slit down the back for removal. (The boots were hard to remove.) His clothing consists of a removable Quidditch robe with hood, corduroy knee pants, and short-sleeve shirt. Also includes removable glasses and golden snitch. Overall good quality and doesn't look cheap which makes it a great display piece for our Harry Potter collection. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
