I’m a ginger from Alaska and set timers for my re-application otherwise I know I’ll be kicking myself for burning and not being able to be outside while on vacation. I applied before I left for the beach AND when I got there just to be safe (the drive was 15 or so minutes), no luck I’m a lobster…

I've used this exclusively for years, but my most recent tube was a new thin greasy formula- the huge change in this product is unacceptable! The Sport lotion has always been thick and dried perfectly on my skin so that I could wear it in the car while driving in the Florida sun, now it's very thin and oily- didn't dry at all even after 2 hours of driving and left greasy stains on both my clothing and the leather seat in my automobile. I had to rub hot water washcloth all over my skin to remove it when I got home, and broke out in a rash. Very disappointed that I'll now have to shop for a new sunscreen product as this one never bothered my sensitive skin before, what a shame that you've ruined such a great trustworthy protectant.

I bought the Hawaiian Tropic Everyday ActiveTM Lotion SPF 50 about less than a month ago and we used it today while out on the river kayaking. We reapplied the sun screen 3 different times and are soo burnt! My shins have a burning sensation even after showering how burnt I got! My husband and daughter are just as burnt as me. I’m just glad our youngest was too little to go out and stayed at grandmas or she would have been just as bad off as us if not worse! We are outdoors people and swim just about every weekend, so we’re no stranger to sunscreen and the sun! I have already thrown this lotion in the trash. No good for my family!

Protects my skin and smells lovely! Love your products! This, the lime colada after sun, and the lip balm are my favorites!

It's good for everyday care. The cream is easy to put and the product arrived a little later but it made it !

Great suntan lotion! From the great smell to how easily it blends into your skin to the quality coverage from the sun, this is our favorite.

We used this recently at the beach and sun screened up from head to toe before heading out. We went into the water a few times, but I cannot believe how burned we’ve gotten. The first day, I got burned behind the knees. I assumed it washed off as I was wading in the ocean with my children. The second day, I made sure to apply a lot more lotion (just in case). Nope. Didn’t help. We typically buy a different Hawaiian Tropic grade, but this Everyday Active SPF 50 formulation is NOT EFFECTIVE.

Smell isn’t the same as before. Not as fresh not as nice.

I apply sunscreen to my face every day. Melanoma and basil cell history make this mandatory. This product goes on nicely, with no greasy feeling.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used Coppertone Sport for years and I tried Hawaiian Tropic Active because of a Consumer Reports review. I could not be more pleased with this product! Coppertone Sport was so sticky and felt terrible on the skin. I would also get a little red with Coppertone if I was in the sun all day at the pool. Since using Hawaiian Tropic Active, I have not even slightly burned, even if I was lounging by the pool all day. This sunscreen also feels like nothing is on! It smells great and isn't sticky on me or my clothes. I will never buy another sunscreen again! I would highly recommend this sunscreen to anyone.

I love this product and have been using it for years. It smells amazing, sometimes I put it on in winter just to smell it! It’s effective in the water and when dry. Just an all around great product. My kids are allergic to many kinds of sunscreen but never Hawaiian Tropic products so I always use these.

We bought this sunscreen for snorkeling because we wanted to protect the ocean. We reapplied 3 times in 4 hours and still both got horribly burnt. I wish we had used our normal sunscreen. I won’t buy Hawaiian Tropic again.

Great product - easy to apply and does not leave any residue. Does not burn eyes if you are sweating. Slight scent to it. Excellent product

Hands down, favorite sunscreen of the summer. It goes on nice and light, even though it is SPF 50. Stays on well at the pool. Smells great. Awesome price point. My hubs and daughter both approve. We have a winner!

My favorite sunblock for the entire family! Stays on and feels like nothing! We also like the tropical scent. I stock up since I can’t find at the stores anymore. We each keep one in our tennis bags at all times!
