I love & have tried MANY charcoal toothpastes. This one is just TOO BLACK & charcoal-y. VERY high maintenance, TONS of water wasted to get all the black off teeth and sink. Don't even THINK of using it with an electric toothbrush. I wanted to love it, but I'm a busy professional: "ain't nobody got time for that..." Going back to Schmidt's Wondermint.

Really whitened my teeth! I love the No-fluoride, no toxic chemical formula. It tastes so good with the mint and coconut oil. In 2 weeks of using it, the yellow is gone from my 68-year old yellowing teeth. This is going to my every day toothpaste now. It also doesn’t make a mess like some other charcoal toothpastes I’ve tried. Excellent in every way!

Luckily I tried the sample size first. I like the companion mouthwash product so tried this toothpaste but had to junk it after 4 tries. If you can imagine brushing your teeth with an old timey ink/quill set up or maybe squid ink, yeah...huge mess in the sink and teeth don't feel clean. mouthwash is good though.

I bought it based on the great reviews but I was very disappointed it didn’t work for me ! I used it daily for almost 3 months now , believe me it will stain your gum and between your teeth … no matter how much you brush and rinse after, there will be black build up and residue . I stopped using it and noticed great results

Fantastic product! My only complaint is the tube since they can’t be recycled. But this fluoride free option is great. Hard to find especially charcoal mint flavor one at this price. Plus it doesn’t stain if you can dab it out of your shirt quickly or use a tide stick. Not as much residue on surfaces like other toothpaste.

I look for products not tested on animals and thought this would be a good option. I expected something with the tag "naturally friendly" to be recyclable, like an aluminum tube, but this is in a plastic tube which cannot be recycled. Very disappointed. Also, the charcoal black was a mess; After use I had to thoroughly clean my toothbrush, cup, sink, face, and check my mirror, floor, towels, etc., to make sure they didn't have the black on them also. It was too much hassle to use this product, especially with all the additional cleanup every time I brushed twice a day. After a couple of weeks I bought something else, in an aluminum tube and also not tested on animals.

When I first bought hello charcoal toothpaste I was in love. It made my teeth whiter and cleaned them good. Fast forward, I've been using this toothpaste for about a year now and the effect on my teeth is devastating. My teeth are yellowing, far more sensitive and in the crevices I have brown lines running down the surface of my teeth. After doing some googling, despite hello charcoal toothpaste claiming to be so good, it's effects wear off fast and it starts decaying your enamel and that's what causes the yellowing and sensitivity.
