The flavor of the eggs was fine, nothing special however upon delivery and opening the package half the eggs were broken or missing the candy coating entirely. May just stick with Cadbury eggs from now on.

I agree whole heartedly with others who have noticed the change in the eggs. I have enjoyed these as a family favorite for years. Now- not only can you hardly find them- they are malted, flaky, and just not good. I have favorite Hershey candies for each season and these just disappoint- please bring the old formula back!!!!

These are my absolute favorite! I love all Hershey milk chocolate, but, these are a step above. I personally like the shell crunchiness and flavor when combined with the chocolate inside! Wouldn't change a thing other than making them available year round!

I have no idea what they did to these to make them taste so repulsive. It was bad enough that every single piece had a shattered coating, but on top of that they tasted DIRTY and MUSTY. I've never tasted something so horrible. I think they should recall these and inspect their factories and employees.

I have bought the Hershey chocolate eggs in candy shell for years and years. They were my favorite Easter treat. But last year in 2023 I bought 5 bags and they did not taste the same. I actually thought they were expired because they tasted stale and were not crunchy but they weren't expired. Please bring back the old recipe/formula. Thank you

My favorite all-time Easter candy that I haven't been able to find in the stores this year so I ordered 2 bags online to be shipped. Target shipped them in a large box with no packing material with a Big bottle of Body wash. (Not unusual to get damaged items bc of poor packing) The bags of candy were ripped open & candy crumbs were in the box. The candy coated shells were all broken in half & the chocolate was white & old inside. The date wasn't expired, but the candy was old & not edible.

I wait all year to grab a few bags of these candy coated eggs. I have always greatly enjoyed them… I either missed them last year or my store still had stock of an older formula, not sure… but the ones I got today are NOT the same Hershey’s eggs I have always eaten. The candy “shell” is now shiny and almost waxy whereas before, it was matte and almost chalky feeling and they used to be smaller. I don’t know what you’ve done, but I will not be purchasing again. I will just stick with peeps for Easter candy in future.

Formula for the coating changed in 2023. Significantly worse candy coating. The original coating made it unique and a special treat for Easter. I won't be buying these in the future unless the formula is switched back.
