Q: What size batteries do the remotes use and how many?

submitted by McBaine - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi there - The remotes use 2 LR44/AG13 coin cell batteries each.

Q: Can witch doctor self-right itself with it's ribcage?

submitted by B12 - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi There - The HEXBUG Witch Doctor cannot self-right itself with the ribcage. The ribcage of Witch Doctor is not motorized. We hope this helps! -HEXBUG

Q: What parts on the battlebots come off during battle and what doesn't? For example do the wheels come off.

submitted by B12 - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi There - In the Arena 3.0, the robots included will "lose" armor pieces during battle. In this set, the wheels and weapons do not fall off, but there are outer armor pieces held in place by magnets to simulate damage. We hope this helps - HEXBUG

Q: How big are the remote controls? They look very small and difficult to use.

submitted by BLT - 5 years ago
  • A: My husband has really big hands and has no trouble. Our 5 year old grandson has no trouble using the remote as well. They LOVE playing together with these!

Q: This comes with the hexbugs

submitted by Lumify - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi there! The HEXBUG BattleBots Arena 3.0 (Bronco vs Witch Doctor 2.0) comes with two HEXBUG BattleBots to battle with inside the Arena!

Q: How big is it when assembled and can it be taken apart and put back together easily?

submitted by Bots - 5 years ago
  • A: Greetings! The HEXBUG BattleBots Arena 3.0 measures around 20x20" when fully assembled. The Bots fit inside of this area. The Arena itself can be taken apart and put back together fairly easily, by removing the walls in the order you put them on, and then folding the game board back up.

Nephew and niece loved it! It was pretty nostalgic too, considering I used to watch Battle Bots years ago. Having an adult be the MC is also a nice touch.

Newer Arena is a massive upgrade

2 out of 5 stars
Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend
Joe E - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
Don’t buy this model. The newer Arena Max is well worth the additional money. This first model floor is cardboard like your standard monopoly board and once it tears, it becomes a big driving issue, whereas the new arena floor is made of plastic. This model does not have the screws that is in the new arena. Bots have a tendency to get lodged under the walls of the old arena (especially Rotator) and the size difference is pretty drastic while playing. With regards to the bots, we’ve had to repurchase the Rivals set of Witch Doctor & Bronco because both of the bots that came with the arena broke, which is very typical of most Hexbug Battlebots. They are low quality and not durable at all, especially considering what they are made for. You have to be very confident you can repair motorized toys yourself or have the money to frequently repurchase the bots. Our Bronco flipper got stuck in the up position (very annoying if you’re familiar with the bot) and our Witch Doctor weapon and back wheels just stopped working. I attempted to repair and it was laughable trying to understand the mechanics. Just be aware you’ll more than likely encounter issues requiring repair since the quality just isn’t there.

These were really fun but the price is a little extreme. Also the controllers didn’t work well and the batteries for both bots and remotes die very quickly.

Its fun but you lose interst quick. One remote seems to work both bots so thats odd. Maybe we need more time to figure it out. Just got it for Christmas.

Both of the remote cars This is a fine product though it can’t go very far, you need to be like about 3 feet away in order to control it. Bronco It’s nice because it can lift anything that weights about a shoe though once I turn the left or right button, the car goes 360 for about 4 seconds Witch doctor It’s nice, it goes perfectly nice when controlling it though it nearly does damage to bronco the other car so good luck

So you wanna be a cool parent and get the toy your kids really really wants - be prepared for ultimate disappoint. Only one remote worked. Very flimsy. And I had to listen to my kids cry for hours he was so heartbroken. Broke down and went and bought another bot just so he could play... granted now I have really spent some money right - guess what - THEY STILL DONT WORK. stick with beyblades. Those little tops can out last us all.

1 of the 2 remotes defective even with new batteries which makes battling hard with only one working remote and two Battlebots. Arena was in good shape and a decent size. Would be 5 stars if both remotes worked. Would recommend with caution; understand this could be not common.

Battlebot - 4 years ago
My 5 year old son is obsessed with the Battlebots show. He already had a few Battlebots which I honestly found annoying because they did not work well. I was very hesitant to buy the arena because it seemed very expensive for what it is. I saw it on sale so I finally caved and bought it for him for Christmas. He LOVES it. Plays with it everyday. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bots actually do work better in the arena. Because of the smooth surface and also the confined area. Bronco is also the best bot we’ve gotten as it has the most effective weapon. While it may not be my favorite toy my son would absolutely give it 5 stars.

fun to play with, BUT POOR QUALITY

1 out of 5 stars
dxnj - 4 years ago, Verified purchaser
It is fun, my son played with it non stop but it is poorly made. Half the time one controller controls both robots no matter if you turn one on at a time or not and have them on different channels. The other half of the time it take numerous tries to get both controllers to work - highly annoying. Also, the plastic barrier snaps in half easily if you happen to bump into when walking past it. Fun but way too expensive for the poor quality and reliability.
