A: Hi there - The unit can be used on very short, tight packed carpet. For best performance, a smooth floor is recommended. Longer carpet fibers can become bound within the wheels.

I had a great time customizing the car to my desire and my floor type. My house has a lot of different floor materials so I can choose what tire grip/tread I want to get the best result.

These are really cool cars and fun to mess with. My issue is with the quality. Screws are very easy to strip, the plastic is easy to crack, and you need to get your own magnetic screw driver to make it a lot easier to work on them. Some pieces aren’t manufactured the best so you’ll find you have to do some sanding for messing with the pieces to get them to fit smoothly. Fun to drive though!

Absolutely fantastic- I’ve always loved cars and modding them in video games and real life, so for me this was an incredible set. While the parts are small to work with, a steady hand and some patience will get parts changed pretty quickly. The only instance when I would not recommend this is if you’re getting it as a gift for someone younger than 14, which is the suggested age by the company. I do have a couple of concerns about the durability, but I haven’t had a problem yet. Over all, I’d say this was worth the money and an awesome item. It’s super fun to customize and its very rewarding to see your performance customizations make a difference when using it. I would love to see some more options for additional part kits in the future, as well as more color options for the underglow. I definitely recommend it if you love cars/rc cars, it’s a blast!

this is actually a really cool little product pieces are small because the car is small. if you have any RC experience at all, this one is very simple and easy to work on. lots of extra pieces and modifications. very fun! enjoying it immensely

Do not buy Piece of junk All pieces are so small can not work with (even the tiniest of fingers) 2.5 hours to change the tires -ask this of the most patient child and I’m sure they’ll be disappointed. Pieces don’t fit at all. Even when lined up properly, they just fall out. You have got to be kidding !!!!! You need 6 hands to get this to work and even with that there are tempers flaring -good luck. Expensive stress inducing garbage. Open and throw in trash !!!

Would not recommend. Bought this for my 8 year old son as a Christmas gift and as we sat down to work on it it proved nearly impossible to get it to modify. The screws are incredibly tiny and the whole thing requires a great amount of patience. After an hour of working on the wheels alone we gave up. Returning to the store for a refund!

Couldn’t get rear wheels on car again after taking them off. Once I took the rear wheels off, two small pieces fell out. I tried putting them back in but they wouldn’t stay in place. The rod would also slip back into the rear axle. After an hour of trying to reattach the wheels I deposited this toy in the garbage can where all Hexbug made toys belong. Never again.
