This dresser is as it appears in the photos. Nothing is super high quality, but it's adequate for a kid's bedroom. If you want something that is very sturdy or can handle drinks sitting on top, this probably isn't what you want. The surface flakes pretty easily and would definitely bubble up if wet. Knobs are wooden, but are painted gold. Without touching them you can't tell. Once you do, if feels cheaper. Everything is basically coated particle board. However, given the inexpensive materials, the structure is sound and designed as best as I think it could be. The bottom"feet" in they picture looked like they may be metal, but they are clear rubber. The directions suggest two people build it but I was able to do it alone. it took me four hours to complete. I used my electric drill/driver to screw most of the screws in which saved me a ton of time. Overall, I'm happy with it. It's definitely not fine furniture, but for what it is, it's well done. I may buy a piece of glass to put on top as the surface is already showing a little wear just from setting things on it as I put things together. I eventually started putting a blanket on the top as I put things together to keep from scratching the surface. You'll definitely want two people to move it so you don't snap the rails of the bottom. (Also getting the box into the house required two of us as it was VERY heavy.).
