HidrateSpark PRO 21oz Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Bluetooth Smart Water Bottle with Chug Lid

I ordered a Hidrate Spark Pro back in January, excited for a way to track my water intake without having to put in a lot of effort on my part. The bottle arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was easy to setup. The app was very straightforward and also easy to setup. And for the first couple of days I was very happy with my purchase and continued to be optimistic about it working well for me. I did notice right away that the bottle was a bit wobbly, but that wasn't a deal breaker. In general, I'm a careful person so I didn’t expect any problems with it. If I had small children or rambunctious pets that would not be the case. As it is, I've knocked it over an average of once a week since I started using it. Within a few days I noticed the next problem. The sensor that measures your water intake is in a small puck that screws into the base of the bottle. This puck slowly unscrews itself and will eventually fall out. It happened to me twice before the fear of losing it someplace made me start checking it every time I picked it up. Shortly after that, I realized that the sensor was not tracking my water intake like it was supposed to. I lost a couple of days worth before I realized I needed to recalibrate it. Daily. Sometimes more than once a day. Having to check the app multiple times a day to make sure it was still tracking and then recalibrate at least once each day is really not any better than keeping tabs on my intake manually. A few design hiccups I can deal with. No matter how good your testing is prior to production, there are usually always still some flaws that need to be addressed in the future. And overall, I feel like Hidrate Spark is moving in the right direction with this product. My biggest issue at this point is the company themselves. Shortly after I started using my new bottle, I received an email from the company asking me to kindly leave a review. So I followed the steps in the email and gave them my honest opinion. Three stars and a basic rundown of the above stated issues. Their response was ok, but not ideal. They made excuses for the wobbliness which came off dismissive of my concerns. They did offer to replace the puck, stating that it was probably faulty if I was having the problems I was. So then I got curious and went to look at the reviews on their website. 4.9 stars, over 1,800 reviews. And not a single 1, 2, or 3 star in sight. Neither was my review. At first, I figured it must just be me. That maybe I'm more clumsy than I thought and maybe I wasn't careful when setting it down, and maybe the puck sensor just needed replacing. Then I went searching other sites for reviews. And guess what? Not only are there plenty out there with less than 4 stars but there are a bunch of people having the same exact issues I am. From the wobbliness to the problems with the puck/sensor. I've since returned to Hidrate Spark website multiple times to look for my review (or any review that is less than glowing). I've messaged them asking where my review is. I've left a second review. I've been in a conversation with one of their representatives about returning my bottle and getting a refund, and asked them about where my review is. So far all I've heard is "we're looking into it." But on a site where nothing less than a 4 star review is published, I find it hard to believe that they just don't know what happened to mine. At this point, I feel like the company is intentionally squashing any bad reviews on their website. Something they are certainly entitled to do. But that is not the kind of company I want to give my business to. Nor is it a company I would recommend anyone else spend their money on. Again, I can totally stand behind a company whose products have room for improvement. That is the nature of creating new things. In fact, I *expect* the first version or two to kind of flop a bit. What I can't get behind is a company misleading their customers like this.

I love it! The app is really nice to use and helps me keep track of my water. I had no issue setting up the app with the Bluetooth on the water bottle. The water bottle is made out of good quality material and has held up for a while now as I have dropped it a couple times. This is my go to water bottle and I use it every day. It’s still looks practically brand new and the lights and the bottle impress all my friends. I got the black water bottle and it looks very sleek and has a matte finish with texture that really is nice to look at.

This product is GREAT. It communicates with my Fitbit so I do not have to log my water manually!

I got this for my dad as a gift and he loves it! It has an app that goes with it that you’re able to install on your phone. You can customize the color AND it helps keep track of your water intake! He says its been really helpful to him! Totally recommend as a gift for someone or even for yourself :)

I’m so frustrated with my Hidrate bottle. I love the idea and how it tracks my water intake. BUT if the puck could stay attached to the bottle would be great. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve taken a drink and the puck is sitting on the table that I lifted it from. How can it track my water intake if it always self detaches? I was at the gym and was searching for it freaking out and told the front desk to please let me know if they find it. Only to come home and find it under my desk. This is so frustrating!! I’m within my 30 days and unless there is a fix or something this is going back. $60 is a lot to spend when I’m bound to lose the little part of the bottle that makes it so expensive. Don’t bother buying this. It’s a great idea but very very poor execution.

I had purchased the first model of this bottle years ago that when I found out that they came out with a rechargeable Bluetooth version with the sensor on the outside I had to get it! It’s even better than the first model. I’m in love with it! And the biggest plus to this model is that it keeps the water cold for 24hrs. Thanks to Target I felt like I got a deal since they had a promo for $15 off of $75.

I bought this as a gift for a 17yo. She’s fallen in love it and the great comments that come with it. It’s so pretty when it lights up rainbow! I plan to buy one for myself. The ONLY con I see with it is having to level it every time you refill so it calibrates with the app for accuracy. But still, an awesome buy.

Well worth it. This bottle and app have helped me drink more water. I already have a STEEL and just bought more from Target for gifts this year.
