Another reviewer was unhappy with prefilter replacement for this model. An option is to buy inexpensive carbon filters online, which can double as prefilters for dust, lint and hair, and remove odors from the air.  They last up to six months each and fit between the OEM prefilter and the HEPA filter...see moreof the reviewer's review

Purchased my first Holmes air purifier over 12 years ago and am still using it. I recently purchased this newer model for another room around 6 months ago and it is still working great! On the first 2 settings it is extremely quiet however the 3rd is a bit loud and i would hope the company makes tha...see moreof the reviewer's review

I like these purifiers, we bought two of them. They are quiet but started making ticking noises after 8 months. Darden, the manufacturer that makes these, replaced them both no questions asked, so the warranty is great. Much better than I can say for Honeywell which makes you pay to ship them back a...see moreof the reviewer's review

The Holmes Air Purifier is compact in size but still takes up a considerable amount of space. It claims to remove 99% of allergens and pollutants. After using this purifier I didn't notice a difference in my environment. I do like how well made it is and easy to use. I am looking forward to using it...see moreof the reviewer's review

I bought this air purifier for my office because I began suffering from dust mites & mold allergies about 6+ months ago. Before purchasing this purifier, every morning my desk was always covered in dust even if I dusted it the afternoon before. When I bought the purifier, I didn't think it would mak...see moreof the reviewer's review

If you are wanting a filteration unit for allergens and mold spores you may be dissapointed. The filter that comes with this unit is a hepa filter for dust removal. It appears you will need to buy a different filter for allergens and mold spores. This device does not come with the true hepa filter. ...see moreof the reviewer's review

I bought this a couple months ago because I have a couple cats and sometimes they can get a little too stinky. It does a good job with keeping the room smelling fresh and breathable. The only thing I don’t like is how loud it is. It sounds like a air conditioning unit.see moreof the reviewer's review
