Book Synopsis
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER - From the stars of the Netflix series Get Organized with The Home Edit (with a serious fan club that includes Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Mindy Kaling), here is an accessible, room-by-room guide to establishing new order in your home."A master class on how to arrange even your most unattractive belongings--and spaces--in an aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-navigate way."--Glamour (10 Books to Help You Live Your Best Life)
Believe this: every single space in your house has the potential to function efficiently and look great. The mishmash of summer and winter clothes in the closet? Yep. Even the dreaded junk drawer? Consider it done. And the best news: it's not hard to do--in fact, it's a lot of fun. From the home organizers who made their orderly eye candy the method that everyone swears by comes Joanna and Clea's signature approach to decluttering. The Home Edit walks you through paring down your belongings in every room, arranging them in a stunning and easy-to-find way (hello, labels!), and maintaining the system so you don't need another do-over in six months. When you're done, you'll not only know exactly where to find things, but you'll also love the way it looks. A masterclass and look book in one, The Home Edit is filled with bright photographs and detailed tips, from placing plastic dishware in a drawer where little hands can reach to categorizing pantry items by color (there's nothing like a little ROYGBIV to soothe the soul). Above all, it's like having your best friends at your side to help you turn the chaos into calm.

I would have preferred more content information than photos of famous peoples' closets. Was more of a picture book with commentary.

Great book with helpful suggestions for organizing anything and everything! We're big fans of Joanna and Clea and I was very excited to find this book available from Target. The included labels are a nice touch (which are absolutely included and found at the back of the book), and we already used several inside our fridge!

The version of this book that has the black Netflix circle on the cover (which is the version being shipped out as of the time of this review) does not come with labels like the original version did. The back cover still says there are labels but they are not included and therefore a bit awkward for a gift, etc.
Title is misleading

This book is not accurately titled. It should read “the Home Display - a Guide to Buying More Stuff to Attractively Display All Your Stuff” The book about putting materialism on exhibition. That’s it.

I’m a clean person, but I’m definitely not gifted in esthetic organization. I’ve only gotten through the intro but that’s gotten me excited enough to keep going! I’m up for the challenge!
Easy to read, just makes sense

Finished this book in under a week. So helpful and easy to read, which is a massive compliment as I am dyslexic and often struggle. This book was well written and just makes sense.
Great book for beginner organizers!

It was okay. I wish it had more ideas for the average household. I wish I had pantries, refrigerators, playrooms and a house like the ones in the book. It actually made me a little depressed that I can't do those things.
