Use the second rod to hang separate shower curtains and liners, or for towels. The rod's light weight and no-cut telescoping design enable easy installation in standard 60- and 72-inch tubs, as well as in in spaces as small as 45 inches. The screw-mounted brackets allow for secure installation into a bathroom wall. Anchors and screws are included for standard drywall mounting. Decorative covers are included to hide the screws. I don't think it looks cheaply made. I think it is what it is and it serves a purpose for a good price. The instructions were terrible! After we fumbled our way through the first one the second one we got was a breeze! It took about 45 minutes to install the 2nd one since we already knew what we wer...see moreof the reviewer's review

The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The end brackets seem solid and well made. However, the metal parts are thin and cheap looking. The end cap covers are especially cheap looking and don't attach securely to the end brackets with the set screws provided. I'm worried about the longevity ...see moreof the reviewer's review
